We stayed 3 nights last week to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. From the moment we arrived until we left, we could not have been happier. We will be back. The gentleman who welcomed us was so obliging and pleasant, and our room was spacious, well appointed and refreshed every day. The facilities were terrific for our our two sons to enjoy and we found all the staff to be really friendly and helpful. Thank you to all at The Olsen, my wife had a memorable birthday.....

Pool is v nice but no hot tub! . Room and bathroom spacious and comfortable. Reception staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and happy hour in bar was most welcome. . Wish we had stayed here for longer. Will definitely book this hotel on next trip to Melbourne.

Very noisy air conditioning

I stayed in room 409. There was a major problem with the air conditioner duct above the entrance door, which alternated between a loud vibration buzz for 30 seconds and a sound like running water. This disturbed my sleep, with the only option to use noise canceling headphones and music playing on my phone. I’ve stayed at the Olsen 15-20 times in the last few years and have never experienced this previously. I recorded the noise at 3:00am and 4:00am and tried to play them to the “duty manager” when I checked out, but she wasn’t overly interested. She said that I should have moved rooms, which I wasn’t motivated to do at 3:00am. She offered me a free coffee and said she’d report it.
