The hotel was ok, very good value for the money, but the room had very poor air and it was difficult to have it refreched. But the location of the hotel was excellent, and the price very nice.

baggage storage issues, taxi problem

We arrived at the hotel at 11 am, we had requested one room out of 4 rooms to be ready for us early. the hotel insisted they did not have a room to keep our baggage for some time, and said we had to hire their lockers, costing 20€ in total. All Accor hotels have a room in which they can keep our baggage for small time periods. Next day we had booked 2 taxis to take us to St Charles rail station. Luckily I booked well in advance. No taxi arrived. Finally, the reception said it would be better to walk and take a metro as we might miss our train. so we did. Reception made no effort to find us an alternative taxi solution, so we ran to the vieux port and took the M1. Disappointing service.

As our hotel was fully booked the day before, and check-out is at 12:00 pm, we were unable to accommodate your request. Our establishment offers individual luggage storage with secure lockers at €4 for four hours. Regarding taxis, we work with the largest taxi company in the city. Normally, the cars take 5 minutes to arrive. Our reception staff are familiar with this company as well as the traffic conditions in Marseille, and I can assure you that if they advised you to take the metro, it was because traffic must have been at a standstill in the city and waiting for another taxi to arrive would have caused you to miss your train. Staff was very nice but the disabled accessible room was small and cramped and therefore we had to stack up furniture in order to be able to navigate with my wheelchair. Also there was a loud repetitive noise that might have come from the electric blinds, every 10 minutes. After we turned on the air con, that was quite noisy too and masked the intermitent one. To be honest, it was the worst IBIS budget hotel we stayed at.
