Vibrant economy hotel, open to everyone

The ibis Mulhouse Ile Napoleon hotel is 5 min from the downtown area. In a peaceful, green setting, the hotel is ideally located on the junction of the A35 highway to Colmar, Strasbourg and Switzerland, and the A36 highway to Lyon. The hotel is 3.7 miles, 6 km from the exhibition center and 15.5 miles 25 km from Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg airport. There are 77 fully refurbished, air-conditioned rooms, restaurant, bar, inviting terrace and a free private car park. The Christmas markets are a must-see.

Mulhouse has many technology museums: Learn about Schlumpf cars, trains, electricity and printed fabrics, all within 10 minutes of the hotel. Visit the region's tourist areas: the Alsace Wine Route, the Château du Haut-KOENIGSBOURG. As a Silver member, I have always received the corresponding Welcome Drink during all my stays, and I have had the freedom to use it at any time during my stay. I usually order a coffee the following morning, and I have never had any issues at any of the Accor chains. In the morning a gentleman at the reception informed me that if I didn’t use the drink on my arrival, I wouldn’t be able to use it the next day, which I found absolutely ridiculous. Later, I approached the reception again, and this gentleman was talking on his cell phone for a long time, and even though he saw me waiting at the reception, he never approached to assist me. After more than 10 minutes, a young lady kindly came over and told me that, of course, I could use the Welcome Drink for a coffee, and she attended to me very graciously. It’s a shame that certain individuals have such a limited perspective and create completely unnecessary inconveniences for guests.

The hotel is clean and efficiently run. Only comments would be that the rooms are on the small side as are the bathrooms. Breakfast was OK but we had better options at the other two IBIS hotels we stayed at on this break
