Great location for a stopover.

I stopped at the Novotel Amneville for one night whilst travelling back to the UK from Switzerland. The hotel is very conveniently located a very short distance from the motorway junction and has a large and easily accessible car park. The hotel's reception area and bar/restaurant are very nicely presented and I was soon checked in. My room was clean and comfortable. I found the bed to be very comfortable and had a great night's sleep. Although the hotel has a restaurant, there is an Italian restaurant about a minutes walk from the front gate and also a selection of other restaurants 15-20 minutes walk away. I had an excellent dinner in La Cloche, which is about 20 minutes walk away. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Overall I very much enjoyed my stay and will definitely use the Novotel Amneville as a stopover destination again.

This is a very tired and old Novotel in desperate need of a fresh new makeover or tearing down and being rebuilt. The rooms and bathrooms were old, tatty and stained. We had an executive room although other members had a standard room - the only upgrade I could see was a free Nespresso, a few soft drinks and some biscuits. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall not worth the money that we paid.
