Disappointed. The accommodation is tired and needs a good clean. Plus everything you do just costs more. The pizza we had was absolutely terrible, the main restaurant was booked out. When I checked in my confirmation booking said 1pm and reception said no 3. I felt terrible and showed them my email. They said oh ok I will see what I can do. Your poor cleaners are pushing a trolly of cleaning products up the hills to the units. Honestly get them a golf buggy! So overall the whole place needs a refresh and modernise everything. The lounge suits in the room next to the reception smelled like someone had urinated on them. It was awful. So overall extremely over priced accommodation that needs refreshing.

We were there to celebrate my 80th birthday There were 14 of us ranging from 13 to 85 Everyone enjoyed the activities, climbing the mountain, swimming in the lake, walking round Dove Lake and trying fly fishing. We ate in the Bistro and had a celebratory dinner in the restaurant. The food was great and staff very helpful

I thought I booked a detached cabin with deck, but were given a conjoined cabin with no deck. The room was grubby, cobwebs, scuff marks, frayed carpet, crinkled lamp shades, etc. The two bath robes were missing, we rang reception (dialed 9) but no one picked up so we had to walk to reception to fix that. Being our 35th wedding anniversary my wife was bitterly disappointed which detracted from our weekend. For $440 a night we expected more.

The bed was amazing, and room lovely however the bathroom had a few issues including the shower rusted and leaking, spiders + cobwebs in the sky light (who look like they lived there for a while). Understandably being in the bush you expect spider however you would expect for the price paid cleaners would be able to remove these when cleaning the room.

We stayed a couple of nights on our tour round Tasmania. Great location for the national park with lots of walks nearby and resident wildlife! Good pub food in the tavern and room was warm and comfortable.

This was our third stay in a Pencil Pine cabin and it was everything we hoped for. We were in a quiet, secluded spot in a warm, comfortable cabin. The shower was hot and strong, wonderful after a day of walking. We both enjoyed massages and time in The Sanctuary at Waldheim Spa. Dinner in The Highland restaurant was excellent, with a complimentary glass of bubbles to celebrate my husband's birthday. All staff were friendly and efficient, with special mention to Addison who we saw in a few different roles during our 3 day stay.

We spent a few nights at the lodge for my wife birthday and had a delightful experience in a beautiful location. Staff were excellent from the check in filling us in on all the do and don'ts of the local walks and hotel features; our room was was spacious, private, quiet and loved the fireplace & both restaurants were great with terrific wood fire pizza's in the Tavern and delicious local produce in the Highland Restaurant. Well worth a visit for the beauty of Cardle Mountain * Dove Lake

You really need to pick up your game. This property location is fabulous. But the rooms are overpriced for what you offer. Definitely not luxury. Most are tired unless you upgrade to the bungalow suites which are beautiful. VERY EXPENSIVE. Paying for luxury but no service. No room clean, no re stock of supplies , could not get coffee or milk after 3 requests. Hairdryer not working , phone not Working. No staff at the desk. We were not even advised there was a store on site. We loved the walks and scenery But would not be back here to stay.

Here for a mini-break between meetings in Hobart and Launceston. I was here about 35 years ago and nothing has changed in the cabin's furnishings or maintenance. Old furniture, the original heater, rotting deck. Fix the road, potholes everywhere. 3 stars at best and for $600 per night about $400 overpriced. That said, the restaurant and food are great and a sumptuous buffet breakfast. So some positives and the local scenery is magnificent and worth the trip. Just not worthy of the Peppers name.

Splurged on an expensive night at a wonderful location. Staff were terrific. Room lovely and warm, BUT for $625 i expect the towels to be unstained, and no cobwebs in the room, AND wifi. On a snowy night we wanted to download our photos onto the laptop but couldn't unsless we went to the reception area. Our meals came out cold and we had to wait for them to be recooked, staff did give us hot chips to eat while we waited. No teaspoon given with cup of tea at restaurant. Little niggles but after 11 hour travel expected more.
