The Banyan tree veya sits atop a plateau surrounded by boulders and overlooking the valle de guadalupe. The silence is something to experience. The feeling is something like James Bond meets the Flintstones. It is our favorite resort in the world. The bedrooms are sleep chambers.Never have slept so well. The interior design is award winning. It is very pet friendly. The restaurant is divine and what a view! The swimming pool hang out is unbelievable,a pool nested amonst bouders with a view of the valley floor. I could live here and feel very special but atleast I get to stay twice a year and feel special. It is the part of our road trip to cabos that we look forward to the most. Infact , we drive 3 hours out of our way from the mexicali crossing to experience it. Its worth it!

Overpriced and Disappointing Stay — Not Worth the Hype

My wife and I paid close to $700 per night for our stay at this hotel, which included breakfast and a private wine tasting. At that price point, I expected an experience on par with a Four Seasons, but unfortunately, it was far from that. From the moment we arrived, red flags started appearing. The hotel uses valet-only parking and golf carts to move guests around the property. While the concept sounded fun at first, it quickly became frustrating. If you want to go anywhere — the pool, breakfast, or even back to your room — you have to call for a cart. When the staff is busy, you can expect to wait 10–15 minutes standing around for a ride. The staff themselves were kind and professional, and I have no complaints about their attitude. However, the communication between teams was terrible. Check-in and checkout each took around 30 minutes, and for our private wine tasting, we were left sitting for 45 minutes waiting for the sommelier, which made us late for our dinner reservation. The room was the biggest disappointment. We booked partly because of the advertised fireplace, which we were told not to use because it could fill the room with smoke and require evacuation. The remote-controlled blinds didn’t work and were stuck halfway open, and the sliding doors were jammed, so we couldn’t use them either. The room amenities were basic and below average, especially considering the price. To top it off, they provided bottled water but no bottle opener — a small detail that says a lot about the lack of attention to guest experience. Finally, after checkout, we were charged for valet parking, even though there’s no self-parking option. Overall, this stay was overpriced, inconvenient, and poorly managed. The hotel seems to rely solely on its architectural design to justify its rates, but the actual experience doesn’t come close. I will never stay at this brand again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Dear Mr. Jorge, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your recent stay. We deeply regret that your experience fell short of your expectations, especially during what should have been a seamless and enjoyable getaway for you and your wife. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delays and inconveniences you faced, particularly with transportation around the property, the wait times at check-in, and the unfortunate delay during your private wine tasting. While we’re pleased to hear our staff treated you with kindness and professionalism, it’s clear that gaps in coordination and communication had a significant impact on your stay, and we take this very seriously. We also truly regret the issues you encountered with your room. The inoperable blinds, sliding doors, and the fireplace, which should have enhanced your comfort, understandably detracted from your experience. Additionally, the oversight in amenities, such as the missing bottle opener, reflects a lapse in attention to detail that is not up to our standards. As for the valet parking charge, we apologize for the confusion and will gladly review this with our team. In properties where self-parking isn’t offered, transparency and service around transportation should be impeccable, and we clearly missed the mark. Your comments have been shared directly with our leadership and operational teams, and we are actively addressing the service gaps you've highlighted. Thank you again for your candid feedback, it helps us grow, and we genuinely hope to regain your trust in the future. Warm regards, Nallely Rodas Veya – Valle de Guadalupe

I am in room 207. This hotel is unable to charge the room for transportation. I had to get a lot of cash to pay for transportation in cash. Plus, no one told me the driver had arrived. Furthermore, the driver didn't have our itinerary or our tasting appointments, even though the hotel set the schedule. In short, the people who work at this hotel are incompetent and disorganized! Our schedule is disrupted because of the delay caused by the hotel!! Stay somewhere else!

Dear Mr. Gardetto We sincerely apologize for any confusion in communication. Since you are still staying with us, we would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly. We can offer you a courtesy call or warmly invite you to visit our front desk at your convenience, so we can personally address any concerns you may have. Please know that our intention in offering transportation services is solely to enhance your comfort and experience with us, and we are truly sorry to hear that this has not met your expectations so far. We remain fully at your service and are committed to doing everything we can to ensure the rest of your stay is pleasant and that you leave with a more positive impression of our team and hospitality. We stayed Oct 9–12 and were upgraded to a Harmony Pool Sunset Villa—spectacular views, modern design, warm, private pool, and absolute comfort. The staff was exceptional, and the food and wine unforgettable, especially the omakase-style tasting on our first night. Don’t miss the onsite bakery or the garden restaurant by the vineyard. The bar is fantastic, and the hilltop architecture is breathtaking. Common pools are small but stylish. Golf carts make it easy to get around. Easily the finest hotel in the region—highly recommended.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed your stay in the Harmony Pool Sunset Villa with the amazing views, comfort and privacy that we know we can give as one of the best experience! It's fantastic to know our team, food and the omakase tasting left a memorable impression for you! We are glad you discovered the garden bakery and took in the beauty of the hilltop design. Your kind words mean a lot to us, and we hope to welcome you back soon for another unforgettable experience in Veya, Valle de Guadalupe! Veya Team.

Made a quick trip from SD for my birthday. Staff was so professional in a luxurious resort kind of way, they were so attentive and make you feel catered to. We stayed in the Bliss pool villa and it was GORGEOUS! Very earthy tones and materials throughout the villa which made you feel very connected to the land around. We opted for a sunset view but honestly the resort is located on top of hill and you can beautiful views from almost everywhere. The stargazing is amazing here which was my favorite part :). Expensive but worth it if you’re gonna utilize the amenities and looking for resort treatment. The only con is that it’s pretty far from any main road compared to other things/ hotels we’ve stayed in the past. We ended up cancelling our night time plans because we didn’t feel comfortable driving that far out at night on the dirt roads, but there was plenty to do at the resort so we didn’t mind! I heard they can coordinate transportation tho, so either way, great experience!

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're delighted to hear that your birthday trip was memorable and that you enjoyed your stay in the Bliss Pool Villa. It's wonderful to know that the design, natural surroundings, and stargazing opportunities contributed to a relaxing and connected atmosphere. We appreciate your feedback regarding the resort’s location. While the seclusion offers peace and privacy, we understand how it can present some challenges for evening travel. We're glad to hear our on-site amenities helped make up for the change in plans, and you’re absolutely right — our team is always available to help coordinate transportation to make your stay more comfortable. Thank you again for your thoughtful review. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back in the future. Sincerely, Irma Sanchez Guest Services Supervisor
