Pros: - Great location, semi ok view of Taj Mahal with metro view in between - parking at hotel - descent sized rooms - Staff was really nice, manager Hemant and his team was trying very hard to make our stay pleasant and welcoming - Welcome amenities for platinum member was not there at first but after mentioning they put some chocolate and cake. - Platinum member upgrade was given, late check out was done by Sohail which really made the experience as I describe now. Also +2 nights room was made available on request. Cons: - Honestly there is a very large space to grow, this is an old property refurbished to make it look like grand mercure. Rooms are renovated but bathrooms are old and visibly used. Even the water in the first room was yellow in the bathtub. - furniture in the room is very cheap and not worthy of a 5 star. Almost no furniture of wood. -dirty old towels, carpets were dirty, closets were broken with lights on which the guy came to break the wire off to close in the night. - It’s an IBIS with a little kick, the breakfast was also very disappointing in the beginning but the team tried to make that right in day 2. Still I’d not say it’s a good breakfast. -Very bad breakfast options, lower quality produce, dry food, very spicy. All things mixed up, their staff running around making it look like a fish market. Hot station in the same area and no air conditioning, you smell like smoke and food after breakfast, not in the best way! - Beds were not very comfortable, no low pillows, all pillows were cheap synthetic and no dawn or other soft materials. - Showers were almost broken, they use some bath products from moringa which wasn’t very luxurious either. - The pool area was also dirty and smelly, pigeons poop was everywhere which is hard to maintain but they do need to upkeep the property. - No green areas or kids play zones, or areas to take a walk. It’s a vertical building and that’s about it. - PLEASE FIX YOUR WIFI, really slow All in all I paid 300 euros for 2 nights but for cheaper price I think many 5 star hotels would provide a much more luxurious stay. I should mention this review is purely on my experience and is not a 1 because the management really was trying hard and was very supportive of my observations. It’s a great spot if you get it for a cheap price and just have to pass by for a night which was booked by your agent or a great wedding venue which it is as I understood. But if you are a seasoned traveler, their basic rooms and add ons will not be worth the tag.
