I arrived beyond exhausted, and this stay turned out to be exactly the respite I needed. Calm, comfortable, and a genuine escape from the summer sun with genuine AC. The food was consistently amazing (Breakfast or Pool Bar/Restaurant) and the service attentive without being too intrusive. Between the shaded Pool Bar/Restaurant and the pool itself, the property manages to feel like an urban resort rather than a business hotel, like a small slice of paradise within the city.
My only reservation is the spa: I have seen that it is present. I could not access it during my stay, so I cannot say whether it is fully operational yet. If it is running, this comes close to complete.

Housekeeping could have done a better job. Room itself was clean, but towels were unsanitary so as dirty carpet. Breakfast was good. I’ll give the hotel another try during my 29th visit to Kigali. Yvan, Josephine, Princesse and Emmanuel were amazing. They deserve a recognition and praise.

I stayed at the hotel for about a week last month and then I stayed there about the same amount of time in May. I really like everything about the hotel. The location, the food, the gym facilities, the Padel Court, the buffet, the view Siff you faced the pool and the weekend vibe with the locals.

The Movenpick was well located, well maintained and a comfortable stay. The breakfast was great and the staff were very hospitable. A few areas for improvement: food was good value but drinks were somewhat overpriced, the pool was not as clean as it could have been, one morning I was woken up by someone accessing my room but they then walked away - I’m not sure who this was, the security check every time you arrive and leave was a little onerous.

We are visiting from Australia and riding bicycles across Africa. Great customer service, rooms were quiet, clean and very comfortable. Great gym and pool. Food was outstanding. The coffee shop produced great coffee and had bread and bakery items to a high French standard. We had great service from Jean in the bar, he dealt with my wife’s serious food allergies by liaising with the restaurant and taking care of us each night as we ate dinner. He was professional and with a good sense of humour, he really made our stay so great.
