Nice Visit, the facilities were good Shower was not the best Didn't like the experience of the billing of extra drinks and food - couldn't understand the billing method.

Dear Mövenpick Management, I am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding our recent stay at the Mövenpick Balaton hotel. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and far below the standards expected from a five-star hotel and from a well-known international brand such as Mövenpick. We booked the hotel during a very difficult time for us, as we were unable to return home due to the war in our country. When we arrived, the hotel appeared to be almost completely empty, with very few guests and minimal staff. Despite this, we were charged the full rate. During our stay we discovered that other guests were paying significantly less — roughly half the price — for larger rooms. This felt extremely unfair and disappointing. The room we initially received looked nice, but very quickly we noticed a strong sewage smell coming from the sinks that filled the entire room. The odor was so severe that we were unable to sleep. Given the level of the hotel, we assumed this must be a temporary issue with that specific room and requested to move. The night receptionist moved us to another room, however we had to carry four heavy suitcases ourselves without any assistance from staff. Unfortunately, by the next morning we realized that the second room had the exact same sewage smell. The following day we asked to move yet again. Only then did the staff inform us that this is actually a known issue in the hotel. We were transferred to a slightly larger room with a lake view as a form of “compensation”, but were also tol

Regarding your request for an additional night, we did offer a discounted rate of -85 EUR, which unfortunately was declined at the time.
