We had a wonderful stay! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the beach was calm, beautiful, and perfect for a relaxing holiday. Room 701 is excellent, big and spacious with a beautiful view from the L-shaped balcony. Staff are friendly and polite. I would like to thank the lifeguard who did some kind professional first aid when I needed it. The breakfast is good, although the porridge is watery and cold. Problems: The restaurant manager needs to tie his hair back, or use a scarf. Hygiene issue. The steps into the pool are a safety hazard - the top step is too far down and steps are slippery. The pool is freezing. The flamingo pool needs cleaning. No entertainment in the evening - it's like everyone is asleep after 7pm. The jacuzzi wasn't working in the spa. Afternoon and evening menu is limited and expensive. The beach needs to be raked every morning, as other hotels do. If possible, an area without pebbles would be nice and much safer. No costume spinner by the pool. When the new hotel opens next door, the competition will be fierce, so improving now is important.

Overall a nice hotel, on the beach. Nice pool, and lots of shade. Breakfast was good, and fresh eggs and omelets made to order. Restaurant overall was a disappointment.

The hotel is direct on the beach. The breakfast is tasty and you have many options: vegetables, fruits, eggs, sausages, cheese, jam, honey, pancakes, nuts, bread, herbs…We liked a lot the water with cucumber, lemons and ginger and the orange juice. The quality of the tea and coffee is very good and there was a small cup with cinnamon next to the coffee machine. We drink usually our coffee with cinnamon and we saw for the first time this option in a hotel abroad. You can choose if you want to sit outside or inside to enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner. They make very interesting cocktails with mastiha (Flamingo on the beach and Mastiha Bliss), we tried there mastiha for the first time in our life. Negroni cocktail was also very nice. The prices of the cocktails are hight (12 Euro) if you compare with another bars and restaurants in Larnaca (most of them just 8-10 Euro), but we usually don’t drink cocktails every day, so it doesn’t matter so much for us. For lunch and dinner we tried always different sea food, local traditional dishes with lamb or interesting also local kinds of pizza. The octopus, seabass, Greek salad and the pizza with Cypriot sausages were very tasty and impressed us a lot. The prices in the Kuma Restaurant are not so high (seabass 24 Euro, octopus 27 Euro, pizza 16-18 Euro), but a little bit higher if you compare them with the most restaurants in Larnaca (15-22 Euro for the same dishes) or also if you compare the prices of the same dishes with restaurants in Spain or Italy where we were in June and August this year. The quality of the food in the restaurant is very good, we never had any problems after eating there. The hotel and the restaurant are very clean and modern looking. The bathrooms are very fancy and we really enjoyed everyone shower there and our favourite Nuxe cosmetic! The staff is polite and smiling, most of them speak very good English and the communication is easy. They have experience with foreign tourists. The beach in front of the hotel is small and very nice. The beach is mixed: sand and stones. The water was clean and safe and the sea is not deep, we saw jellyfish and sea weed only once. Most of the times the sea was calm and the waves were not big. We enjoyed a lot our stay there and it was just amazing short beach holiday in Mercure Hotel, Larnaca!
