I stayed for 4 nights for work. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are fantastic. It lacks however hugely in its service capabilities.

Lovely hotel, reception staff were absolutely lovely. Spa was massively overpriced. Breakfast was chaotic, slow, poor service. Coffee never arrived. They kept running out of basics like bowls, butter etc. tables were crammed in. We got sat by the continental breakfast so were constantly knocked by people or staff passing by. Not the pleasant breakfast experience we had hope for. Spa was lovely but for £100 per couple for a sauna, steam and small pool, was really overpriced. Only used it as was a special occasion.

I think prices are a bit ott to charge £37.00 for an afternoon tea which was very poor the tea consisted of 4 very small sandwiches,2 undercooked scones as for the cakes what can I say pretty poor no salad accompaniments the whole experience was very poor

I really cannot thank the front of staff and at the spa enough, they were really kind, thoughtful and went the extra mile. The building is stunning, it is worth visiting for the the incredible Palm Bar alone. To me the only things that let's the stay down were 1) you have to pay £30pp to use the spa, which doesn't feel like you are getting an experience, more cheap as you have to pay add ons, and the same unfortunately goes for breakfast...costs aren't given up front and it isn't said on the menu, you will get charge another £35pp for breakfast which is outrageous for a fry up and the majority of the items on the menu say £10 supplement, which would be £45pp for scrambled egg and smoked salmon on toast - that is really excessive.
