Mercure Sydney Martin Place

Horrid. Room was old dingy and dusty. Sofa bed was beyond horrible. 100% Springs poking thru. I think an original piece of furniture.Teenage daughter couldn’t sleep. No sofa bed made up on arrival. No tea in the room. Called and after 3 hours and still no tea. Asked at desk and they found one. Took a while they found another two. I wouldn’t waste your $$.

A dump. Over priced. The room was dark,small, dingy and dirty. Corridors were dirty- carpets were not vacuumed. This hotel needs a renovation. I can’t understand how they can charge the prices they do. Location is good.

What an appalling hotel. Tiny rooms. Poky corridors. No restaurant. No bar. No ALL recognition at check-in. Very, very slow check in. Don't give you your ALL points or respond to requests to do it. New mattress though.

My husband and I stayed at Mercure from the 18th to the 22nd November. Our flight to Melbourne was cancelled and we immediately contacted the hotel to stay another night. We were told we would have to pay an additional 130.00 per night on top of what we originally paid. The staff were not helpful considering we had been guests. Today 23rd November I went back to the hotel to make a complaint about our treatment. Frederico one of the Managers asked me to wait to speak to the other Manager… who subsequently completely ignored me and then left the hotel without speaking to me. Extremely rude behaviour towards a customer. Frederico took my complaint and was pleasant. The hotel room was ok but cleanliness could have been better and we had to ask for clean towels. Will not stay there again.
