We have stayed here twice once last year when it was a mecure and stayed one night in january when it was novotel the room was good and clean the checkin was fine the bathroom was good not much of a view from our room. the buffet breakfast was very good and enjoying. The motel is good and we will be back in the future down the track

Disappointing experience

We stayed 6 nights. A very disappointing experience. This hotel is not up to Novotel standard. We also stayed here last year, when it was still a Mercure, and yes, some things had been improved since then, but it still has a long way to go to reach the standard of the many other Novotel hotels we have stayed in. I am Accor Platinum. I had to request our drink vouchers on checking in. They did provide the included breakfast, which was appreciated. The buffet breakfast included a fairly standard choice of food. We did not fancy anything on the menu in the restaurant, which is called Birdie. However there were some items on the room service menu of interest. We asked if we could order off that menu in the restaurant, but no, that was not possible. Surely the food comes from the same kitchen to room service and the restaurant? So they lost our dinner custom and we went elsewhere. We were on the 20th floor. The room was clean and comfortable enough. The bathrooms are small, but with a spacious shower taking up half the room. There were 4 pillows on the bed – all very large chunky things. Far to big for me to get comfortable when lying on one. Just achieved a pain in the neck, literally! I asked one of the housekeeping staff on the floor if I could have a thinner pillow. Was told I had to request at reception, which I did. About an hour later two thinner pillows were delivered to the room. Other hotels provide small and large pillows in the room as standard – why not here? The hallways were depressing. Bags of dirty laundry and trays of dirty plates were always lining the walls whenever we were coming and going, at various times of the day. The location is brilliant, just across the road from the Wynyard train station. Short walk down to Darling Harbour or Circular Quay. We usually visit Sydney 2 or 3 times a year and will use this hotel again because of the location, but I hope the hotel experience improves in the future!

Please avoid this hotel if possible .I booked a Suite the highest category in the hotel , but I will say the stay and the hospitality is of a motel. 1) I check-in I find bathroom to be without dental kit and shaving kit 2) I call them but I have to go down to collect dental kit 3) was promised welcome drink on arrival did not recieve 4) food does not have a vegetarian option /vegan option 5) Morning I had to call again for the kit but I got the kit after 30 min which made me miss my breakfast (I.e. yoghurt fruits and seeds for veg ) 6) complain about the Drinking water smell to the central team and transfer to other property. They do not care they gave standard response of we will look into it after I followed up

J ai été très déçu ayant du quitter l hôtel un jour plus tôt que prévu de payer y compris le jour ou j étais parti . Le personnel de l accueil n était absolument pas à l écoute de son client et enfin le petit déjeuner dans un bar à 100 m était indigent
