No parking, no porter to help with bags. The car park is 3 blocks away, (you have to walk) and costs $60 on the "special rate". Steaks were undercooked, sent back and came back undercooked again. Ordered one children's burger and one adult burger, the only difference being a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato. Dirty plates were left on the table so long we gave up on the idea of dessert. Our bath robes were removed from our room while were at dinner. The room had no refreshments at all, no snacks, no beer, nothing!! Still no porters to assist with bags on check-out. Just an all round poor experience.

The location of the Swissotel is wonderful. It is in the middle of the CBD and some of Sydney's finest shopping. It is easy to walk too many places. I was there on business and many of my meetings were within walking distance. The room is clean, quiet and nicely laid out. It is a comfortable room and bed The doormen at the desk on street level were helpful, remembered me and were able to help me to find local attractions and travel options. I did not use the restaurant on this stay. I did on the last and found it to be typical expensive, mediocre hotel food. It is not my first choice as a place to eat. The main thing that keeps me from giving this hotel a higher rating is the two tiered lift design. One lift from the street to the lobby. then another lift from the lobby to the room. it probably has an advantage (for did) but it takes longer to enter and leave. I will stay here again because it is convenient.

I was certainly looked after at the hotel. The beds & pillows are fabulous. Being school holidays the hotel was busy which was good to see. Dinner was the only disappointment. Not enough variety for a 5 star hotel. Look forward to also getting valet parking back.

This hotel is very well located in the centre of Sydney, Walk out the door and you are in the Westfield shopping centre in a few steps. A sort walk across or under the road and you're in the Queen Victoria building or hopping on the light rail to head down to Circular Quay. The rooms are spacious, comfortable beds and decent showers. Definitely will stay here more often.

It took 45 minutes to check in, a lot of rooms weren’t ready at 4pm and every time you wanted to use a lift there was a 20 minute wait. The staff were doing their best but apparently they are chronically understaffed. Rooms were lovely though.

We recently stayed at the Swissotel in Sydney . We have stayed before and was wonderful but this time was less than fantastic. Check in was a disaster there is no valet parking any more which means you have to walk 4 blocks from your car and that’s when you leave you have to cart your suitcase 4 blocks. Our room wasn’t ready till 5pm & I’m an Accor Plus member so usually get early check in. The line up to check in was over 45 mins with no Accor plus line available. The staff are swamped there never seems to be enough which leads the service to be let down. The executive lounge is operating in the bar area but they also have to serve all the patrons in the bar so sometimes the wait for service is longer. Other hotels we have stayed at are operating their lounge area. The room was clean and tidy and modern. Check out was better with no delays

The rooms were very good, location excellent, however you need to park your car three blocks away as there are few car parks at the hotel and these are generally taken by the permanent residents. the biggest issue at the hotel appears to be the total lack of direction to the staff, it took 35 minutes to even get a juice or coffee after we had to remind a staff member we had ordered as soon as we sat, this was the same the next day took 25 minutes. Breakfast was short each day by at least three staff and the place was not even busy, so that can't be used as an excuse. At the egg station there was no one really taking or distributing orders, therefore it was a free for all when food came out and people were taking others orders, also at the hot food dispensing area, there was one person who served and also did the running to the kitchen to top up depleted stock, this caused long long line ups. At checkin the hotel staff seemed confused and slow at booking rooms, there was an average wait of at least 45 minutes. there were other issues throughout the two night stay, but unless they employ more staff and have some leadership there, not worth the stay.

Great hotel, lovely room, exceptionally clean, very comfortable bed, Right in the City so close to everything. Unfortunately the dining spoilt a lovely stay. Breakfast is a shambles, and the one evening meal we had was terrible

My niece and I stayed for one night and being right in the heart of Sydney we found the locality close to everything and the hotel also met all our expectations. The taxis are right out the front to take you to the shows at the Opera House and very quick.

Stayed over the Easter break and overall was enjoyable and satisifed with my experience. Staff were definitely great and friendly however it meant and prolonged wait at check-in given the 'extra help/conversation' that occured with the guests prior to me. Would have been better if additional staff were present to help arriving guests. Accor status was recognised to an extent, ie. upgraded room to level 24. Downside was lacked welcome amenities (which I received at Novotel days ago) other than the complimentary water. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but would have added to the experience. Welcome drink vouchers were given as well. Room was a decent size with a view overlooking the Centrepoint Tower. Clean, tidy and the decor worked for me. Shame about the various A4 notes that were placed on the work desk beneath the glass, made it look busy/messy - important notes/info but perhaps consider placing elsewhere. Hotel location cannot be faulted and was extremely convenient. Right next to Myers, the mall, QVB and David Jones...which worked for me. Also walking distance to the harbour and circlar quay. One thing worth mentioning, which isn't a fault at all and cannot be changed, is the fact that there are two sets of lifts, one from the street to the lobby and then one from lobby to rooms - again not a big deal for me but worth mentioning as others may find it inconvenient and depends on who you are travelling with. Reiterating overall was a good stay and mostly aligned to my expectations for Swissotel, and I will definitely stay again.

I am very disappointed on what I got at the Swissotel. Being a Platinum Accor member I was expecting something extra. A room upgrade, a "welcome" card in the room, a wine or something - nothing. Sold as a "Executive Floor" room with no executive lounge operating and a less than impressive service at the bar instead, I won't be staying here again. Do you like waiting for a glass of Chardonnay for 25 minutes? Or want to order food - you might get hungry because nobody takes your order until you stand up and wave your arms. Checking in? Often a long queue with one guy behind the counter. Really - is this 5 star? I don't like to make bad comments but the service of this hotel is ...

It was a free night for us and we were very happy with the room. However the service in the Crossroads Bar was to be desired. We had lunch and it was very nice. We had drinks before retiring to our room and were not approached once when our glasses were empty. However breakfast was a big mistake.

They recognised my Accor Gold status with an upgrade, the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is central to everything especially if you are on holiday. Didn’t use any facilities but I remember the bar being very expensive last trip

Enjoyed every moment of our stay as a family - excellent service from start to finish, very chic and fantastic location, room has 2 double beds - perfect for the family with 2 kids. Can't really fault anything - will definitely be back for our next trip!

The Hotel has fairly nice rooms and very nice bathrooms. Unfortunately we were given a room with very bad flickering lighting problems in the ceiling which we couldn't turn off or get fixed so we had to be moved to another room at 2:30 am and made to leave our luggage in the original room which we couldn't access in the morning without waiting for a new room key because it didnt work the next day trying to access our old room so we could get our clothes and toiletries. Only a free movie rental was offered as compensation so travelers beware. not up to expectations from this establishment.

I do not blame the staff as it was obviously the hotel system or policy but as a Gold Accor member I did not appreciate the very lengthy delay at checkout. There was no Accor priority guest facility at reception and was told to go to the back of queue of mostly Asian tourists wanting to check in early! This whole process took 40 minutes which is totally unacceptable and I will never stay at this property ever again for this reason. I was 20 minutes late for my business meeting which went over like a lead balloon. I don't mind waiting my turn or lining up but this was ridiculous! Reception staff were trying to be helpful but they are not the Concierge and all these tourists with limited English were asking directions to attractions etc whilst other gusts including myself were waiting and waiting. The hotel needs a concierge on the 8th floor not down on street level, it just doesn't work! Business travelers cannot afford these unnecessary delays. Now I know your hotel is more for tourists than business I will stay elsewhere even if the location is not quite as good! Question: is Swisshotel an Accor property or not ? Certainly many mixed signals about that!

I failed to read the small print on the Accor website while booking this hotel for a work trip to Sydney. Despite the Accor/Swissotel acquisition, stays at the Swissotel Sydney won't earn Accor points and they won't offer any of the Accor Platinum tier benefits. You'll also be paying more on a daily basis for high speed internet than most monthly plans cost - I resent paying anything at all for internet access at a high-end hotel in 2017... Also set aside 15-30 minutes for the lengthy check in and check out processes and check they don't try to charge you for the accommodation twice.

We stayed overnight for Vivid and chose the hotel due to location and comfort. Again we were not disappointed. Check in/check out was fast and the staff from reception to kitchen worked really hard to make sure everything we needed was met. Great spot for shopping and close proximity to Darling Harbour and the Quay. The rooms was spacious with comfy beds and good for a family of 4. We will definitely be back!

Swissotel sydney is located central sydney near Hyde park. Lobby is at 8th floor so we were feeling safe and calm when we arrive there. Staffs there all helpful and kind. We loved the theme and design of the rooms. I got my room with view toward JP Morgan and sydney eye which gave me good feeling as well. I would love to stay again when back to sydney. Thanks
