Our stay at this newly opened resort was nothing short of outstanding. As Montenegro's first true ski-in/ski-out destination, the location at Kolašin 1600 is unbeatable for winter sports enthusiasts, offering direct access to the slopes and a highly convenient, modern ski room. The rooms are a highlight—spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, featuring elegant alpine design with traditional Montenegrin hand-woven details and balconies that frame breathtaking panoramic mountain views. The addition of a small kitchenette in the rooms adds a layer of convenience that is rare for luxury mountain resorts. The culinary experience at the two on-site restaurants, The Morel and Blend, exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet is particularly generous and varied, featuring fresh local delicacies and a wide selection of hot dishes. After a day on the slopes, the Calmé Wellness & Spa served as a perfect sanctuary. We thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool, sauna, and steam room, though the expertly delivered massages were the true standout. What truly sets this resort apart is the staff. Every team member we encountered was professional, attentive, and genuinely warm, making us feel valued at every turn. For anyone seeking a refined and comfortable escape in northern Montenegro, Swissôtel Resort Kolašin is the definitive choice.

We had a very pleasant stay overall and truly enjoyed our time at the hotel. The location is excellent, especially for skiing, with the ski area very close and easy to access. The surroundings are beautiful and the hotel offers a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were outstanding — extremely polite, helpful, and welcoming at all times. From reception to restaurant staff, everyone made us feel comfortable and well taken care of, which really made a difference to our experience. The suite was clean, well equipped, and practical, with a kitchen and enough space for a family stay. The hotel offers good overall comfort and is well maintained. That said, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. The mattress was quite small and very firm, which affected sleep quality, and the pillows were uncomfortable. Additionally, the pool area is quite small, especially for a resort of this size, and we felt that a kids club would be a great addition for families with young children. Despite these points, we were very satisfied with our stay and would gladly return, especially thanks to the excellent staff, great location, and overall hospitality.

The room, house keeping, location was perfect. If there is snow and weather allows, it has everything you need for a good ski trip. The rooms make you feel like you are home with everything you might need provided. The ski room in the hotel has new and quality equipment, the staff is helpful. --However, the spa is too small. There is not enough in-hotel activities if you don't ski. There should be more resting areas in the lobby to hang out with friends after a ski day. We booked our stay as half board including breakfast and dinner. Wish we didn't because the open buffet dinner did not meet the standards of a Swissotel resort and was not worth the extra money. Instead, just take the not bad breakfast and try a local meal at a restaurant in town center which is 15 min by car. On the last day of our stay, they told us that they won't be offering us open buffet as there were not enough guests and they handed us a menu to choose our meals. The menu options were really too weak for Swissotel standards so we did not want to eat at the hotel. Of course we understand the necessity of cancelling open buffet so food is not wasted but wish they gave us a heads up so we could book a proper restaurant. When we asked for refund of a 1 day half board price they said there's nothing they can do. The house keeping staff, the hotel porters and waiters were kind and helpful but the reception and administration staff was not problem solving.

We stayed at Swissôtel Kolašin from December 29 to January 1, booking what was advertised as a premium New Year’s experience. Instead, the stay turned into a sequence of service failures, hostility from staff, and complete lack of management accountability. The centerpiece of the stay was a mandatory New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner, required in order to book the rooms. We were a group of ten, including two children (ages 5 and 7). The evening started with delays and quickly went downhill. Food arrived late, some dishes were cold, and one fish dish had a strong smell suggesting it was no longer fresh. At one point, used cutlery was literally thrown back onto the table while staff told us, in a rude tone, that the dish should have been eaten with hands. The most unacceptable part was the treatment of the children. Despite repeated requests, the kids were left without food for over two hours while other tables were being served. Eventually, some food was promised to be sent to the room because the children were exhausted. Close to midnight, only two portions of cold chicken nuggets arrived. That was the entire “Gala Dinner” for them. The atmosphere in the restaurant was unbearable: extremely loud music (over 100 dB according to Apple Watch noise reports) and excessive heat, completely inappropriate for families. When we tried to calmly ask what was happening, the situation escalated. A member of our group was taken aside and threatened with “risk management.” Later, at reception, five unidentified security guards appeared and surrounded us while we were asking about the missing food. This happened in front of our children and felt like intimidation rather than customer service. This was not an isolated incident. The previous evening, we were aggressively confronted in the cigar lounge for smoking cigarillos, despite signage prohibiting cigarettes only. The same staff member was involved both times, showing a clear pattern of unprofessional and hostile behavior. Other issues added to the disappointment. The spa and sauna were overcrowded and poorly managed. With the ski resort closed due to lack of snow, there was little to do, yet the sauna was only turned on after 4 pm and requests to open it earlier were refused. Sleep quality was also poor due to extremely stiff feather pillows; despite a “pillow menu,” only two equally uncomfortable options were available. To top it all off, we were promised a meeting with the General Manager on January 1 at 9:00 am. No one showed up. No follow-up, no explanation. This was supposed to be a premium New Year’s holiday. Instead, it was ruined by bad service, neglect of children, intimidation by security, and total management silence. This hotel seriously damages the Swissôtel and Accor brand.
