We were in room 909. The room was a good size, but dark with no natural lighting. The bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel was very convenient. The seating area in the reception is limited and no lounge area. The staff were rude when we claimed our welcome drinks. The chocolate hour is underwhelming.

Happy with the room and breakfast. Stayed 3 nights check in Thursday 27th Nov checkout Sunday 30th. On the Saturday we had the room serviced. We were in room 1613, so right outside the lift. When we returned after the room service we could see the door had not been pull shut. It was obvious to all exiting the lifts that the door was not closed. My wife had valuables in the room and thankfully they were still there. I raised this with the service desk and was told the feedback would be passed on to the cleaners. Upon check in we were charged for the 3 nights accommodation. I used the express checkout on the Sunday and some time later that day received and emailed invoice. On the invoice it was quite clear we had also been charged for the 3 nights accommodation again. I checked my credit card account to confirm. I called the front desk, as we had left, and explained the situation. The additional 3 nights that were charged were then credited to my, but the credit card fee was not?? A couple of issues I have with this: It was very obvious I had been overcharged so I struggle to understand why the invoice was not checked before sending it to me. It is not my role to check and then follow up to get a credit. Secondly I was charged a $7.97 car fee for the over charge of $577. A $30 bar tab was part of the $577 so no issue with a card fee for that but I don't understand how the person that did the credit and raised a new invoice thought it was still ok to charge me the $7.97 card fee, being for the overcharged amount. Not much thought went into that decision. Feel free to credit that portion back also.

Overall, a good stay - staff helpful. Food good. Chocolate hour good when you could get to it (on one day we arrived half-way through and most were gone)
