Booked a no view room because there were no other rooms left. No view would have been okay but there was NO natural light, dark depressing room. Three nights for AUD 1500 !! Looking at a concrete wall and not even knowing if it’s day or night. All I heard: you booked a no view room, you saw the pictures, it’s an interior room aso. They offered one room, again no view but more natural light for additional costs. It felt nobody really cared about my complains. Good thing I don’t have to come back and stay there again.

Firstly Valet parking was bad. We enquired about booking via email and hotel just mentioned valet parking. When we reached the front of the hotel, the parking space only have a 5 min stopping time, with no valet on sight. We rushed into the hotel to get the valet only realised that no one is actually following the 5 min rule. The front desk told us to call 20-25 mins ahead of time to get our car, first time we called 20 mins beforehand, but end up having to wait an additional 15 mins, thats a total of 35 mins waiting time, unacceptable. 2nd time when we checkout, we called 30 mins beforehand. When we checkout, the front desk told us to wait another 20 mins. Only when we reminded him that we had called before hand did he check the desk and saw that our car key is available for pickup. Clearly lacking in details. On the day of checkout, the hotel sent us an invoice with no outstanding charges since we paid during booking via points and cash on checkin. Then 3 days later I received a notification from my bank that my credit card was charged AUD285.44from Movenpick Hobart. I called the hotel immediately but the front desk claimed that they cannot see that charge, and they see no outstanding charges since my check out. They advice me to send an email to them for further checking. The issue remain unresolved at the time of this feedback. The level of service totally fall short of a 4 star hotel.

Regarding the amount that appeared on your bank statement, I have checked your account and can confirm this was a preauthorisation rather than a charge. This preauthorisation has been cancelled on our end, and we are not holding the funds. If the amount is still visible, it means your bank is retaining it temporarily, and it should release automatically in line with their processing timeframes.
