Everything great and I love the breakfast buffet included in the room fare! As we stayed 5 nights, we would hope there is some changes of the buffet menu instead of same hot dishes but the price is already so reasonable for such a convenient location, we really can’t expect too much about it. In conclusion, we will definitely recommend it to anyone and will stay again in the future. P.s. Only one thing - the housekeeper did not refill our shower gel bottle one day, even we opened the lid already to show it is completely empty. We had to call receptionist because housekeeper phone line never got picked up…. ( we are back to the room at the end of the day and need to shower ) They did send someone immediately and bring the shower gel, which was really nice, however, the housekeeping team might need more training, and we started to wonder if they ever will clean the shower / toilet, or they just add towel and paper and empty the bin?

Great service, great facilities, great location , very comfortable stay.

Check-in was quick and friendly, and onsite car parking very helpful. The central location made for easy pedestrian access to central Hobart shops and eating venues, and provided rapid access for car travel. The comfortable and spacious room, with all necessary facilities, had an excellent view, and was kept in excellent order daily by the housekeeping staff. There was adequate storage space, and very comfortable beds. There is good lighting and sufficient power points and charging facilities. All staff members were very helpful and friendly. The hotel has an excellent restaurant providing good breakfasts as well as excellent dining later in the day with an interesting and varied menu. The key cards provide a good sense of security. I can highly recommend Ibis Styles Hobart.

Clean hotel with wonderful service plus centrally located!

The hotel was alright. It did the job, but the room did have a smell and the rooms weren’t the cleanest. The hallway had some sort of white dust/powder all throughout. Overall, it was fine for what you pay, but definitely not the nicest or cleanest hotel.

It was my daughter’s birthday weekend. Staff were friendly, also found a birthday card and little box of caramel fudge in our hotel room as a gift. Great location, comfortable stay and amazing view of the harbour. Highly recommend stay at this hotel. Thank you

The rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained by housekeeping, reception were always friendly and helpful. The highlight was the buffet breakfast. A real treat and the best I've ever had. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if the opportunity arises. We just arrived from Perth and your staff made us feel very welcome. Thank you.

The hotel room was very clean and tidy has everything we needed except for a hand towel. Room was a bit warm for sleeping and the auto or cooling temp wouldn't go below 19 degrees and the pillows being very thin were put only complaints about the room. Your website gave the details for two parking options- stating that the nearby secure parking was $17. However, there was nothing in the description about needing to attend the reception for a voucher first for the price. We went to the carpark first and the only way to enter the carpark was to tap a phone/bank card. The gentleman at reception told us that we can't use the code to get the discount once we've entered the carpark and unfortunately ended up having to pay $40 for our stay.

They accommodated our request for a quiet room away from the lifts. Very comfortable bed, great shower, good sized room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good location, walking distance from everything. Would happily recommend.

Had a very easy check in and comfortably stay. The only issue I had was that the cleaners took one of my room keys out of the slot so I was left with one, but I got this fixed at the front desk. Everyone I spoke with at the concierge was very friendly and helpful.

I phoned to book three days ahead and when I arrived there was no booking, a room was found and I was charged $50 more for my stay than when I booked. Very annoying, you’d expect a discount for the inconvenience, it took ages to do !

We came to stay at ibis Styles Hobart on Saturday 29 August. We arrived around 2:30 pm, and it seemed quite busy in the hotel lobby for check-in. We spoke to a man at reception (I can’t remember his name, but he was friendly and helpful) and were told that our room was not ready yet and that we would have to wait. He did look to see if another room was available, but it seemed that the room type we had booked was not ready yet. He had also contacted housekeeping to find out what was happening and seemed to be wondering why it was taking so long. I’m not sure whether the hotel was understaffed or if they were just particularly busy that day, but it seemed like there was a delay with getting some of the rooms ready. We were told that the hotel had been fully booked on Friday night and was also fully booked for Saturday night. It looked like there were a few other people waiting for their rooms to be ready as well. We were told to wait, but we weren’t given an estimated time for when the room would be ready, and my name wasn’t taken down so that we could be contacted when it was ready. My partner and I were given drink vouchers for the restaurant at the hotel while we waited, which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to use them as we had somewhere else we needed to be. We only ended up waiting around 10–12 minutes before being told that our room was ready. I also wanted to mention that the car park connected to the hotel was already full when we arrived at around 2:30 pm, which was only 30 minutes after check-in had started. We had to pay $17 for the cinema car park behind the hotel. I didn’t mind paying this, as I understand that many hotels in Hobart charge for parking, but I was surprised that the hotel car park was already full so early. When we arrived in our room, it was very hot, so I turned on the air conditioning. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to be working very well and the room remained quite warm. I also noticed that there was no hand towel or hand soap in the bathroom. I’m not sure whether the bottle provided on the wall was intended to be hand soap, so I will include a photo for reference. There were also no rubbish bin bags in either of the bins in the room — one in the bathroom and one underneath the desk. I also noticed that the bath mat had a tan-coloured stain on it, and there was a similar stain on the face washer. I will include photos for reference. From what I could see, it felt like the housekeeping team may have been rushed that day and that our room may not have received as thorough a clean as it should have. I can’t comment on the other rooms, but while we were on Level 6, it appeared that housekeeping were still cleaning rooms further down the hallway for other guests to check into. This may have been because the hotel was particularly busy that day, but I did feel that some things had been missed in our room. In the evening, I spoke to someone at the front desk and asked for bin bags and hand towels, and these were provided to me. Overall, despite the few issues we experienced during our stay, I don’t want this review to come across as overly negative or as though I’m trying to be difficult. I just feel that a few things were missed that could have been easily addressed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we still enjoyed our stay. I would happily stay at ibis Styles Hobart again and again, and I hope that this feedback can be taken as constructive feedback to help improve future guests’ experiences.

Yeah it was good, lovely hotel nice pool too !! Very warm water which is nice, breakfast was too expensive for what you get.

Check in was a little cumbersome. The key card did not work on the first elevator and I got stuck on the wrong floor. When I got back to reception the man told me wait because there were a lot of people in line. I already waited in line once and I had an issue through no fault of me own. I did not feel I had to be in line again.

4 nights staying here & using public carpark for hire car in the street behind. During the week yes, hotel charges $17/day rather than public rate $25/day BUT continues to charge that over weekends when public rate is only $10/day so overcharging at weekends. Also, might have been useful to be told there's a walkway beside hotel through to next street which we only discovered ourselves on Day 4 after walking around the full hilly block for days! Frustrating mess up with codes to get in & out of this carpark as written code by reception was missing a number! Also our room card was not working to use the lift no less than 4 times & required replacing & going to line up at reception to fix! Small but annoying unnecessary delays. Meal in hotel restaurant on last night was convenient but average and expensive. Room was comfortable & well cleaned but guest reception & service requires improvement.
