I had an issue with room cleanliness. I found the cleaner in the corridor outside the room, as the window glass was dirty on the inside I borrowed the window cleaner and cloth and cleaned greasy substance off the window. I also borrowed antiseptic spray and cleaned down the door knobs and surfaces, however I can't say those areas were not properly cleaned, I found the young man who served us at the main check in counter to be very efficient and pleasant, he even brought up our evening meal. As the restaurant was only doing take away meals I was surprised that our (upgraded) room contained only one chair, although this was remedied at our second request, it should have been obvious at the outset that guests would have to eat in the room. Overall we found the room very pleasant, the bed was comfortable the bathroom functional and the view from the widow was nice.

This hotel has an excellent location - it is close to everything! The hotel itself is tidy, nicely furnished and equipped with a lot of good services (gym, pool, breakfast, laundry room...). The staff was always very friendy and always ready to help with any questions!

A good location in the CBD, rooms fairly small but have everything you need. I read rave reviews about the restaurant at the hotel but we were disappointed with the options available. Bar good. If staying on a Sunday, be aware that there are very limited dinner options in the area and generally things close very early. If stuck, there is a chinese restaurant just two or three minutes walk which has good food for reasonable prices - the Dragon Bowl.

We had a great few days stay at Ibis Styles, it’s central location makes it easy to get around, and it is within easy walking distance of many attractions. We give 5 stars to the restaurant and bar, it’s environment and menu. We give 5+ stars to the restaurant/bar staff. Friendly, efficient, they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and important. The pool is great, the lifts are fast and the rooms pleasant, our only complaint is that it would be nice if you were given a hand towel. All round a very pleasant place to take a break away in Hobart.

When we went for continental breakfast on 3rd morning nearly all fruits were empty and other foods in short supply . When a member of staff was queried was told " all gone " . We left having been refunded our cost .

The young, short girl at reception was a bit abrupt and rude a couple of times, but the other middle aged woman made up for it, and was very helpful. The middle aged bloke was helpful also. I think the young girls name was Isabelle, but not sure. The restaurant food was very nice, and a shame we couldn't stay longer. Cheers John
