Enjoyed my stay at Mantra Mackay Harbour. Comfortable, well-sized rooms. Food at the restaurant was excellent, with good servings - did not go hungry. Waited 30 minutes for breakfast during a busy morning service.

Accor Platinum member, but was denied a late checkout due to "availability", despite pleading for just 1-2 hours more whilst we were moving house closeby. I came down to checkout at 12:00PM as requested, and cleaning staff told me there was no rush to checkout, "there were plenty of rooms up there"- and of course there were no cleaning staff on my floor upon checkout. All staff present seemed embarrassed, but didnt say anything further to me.

Good Location, Room had terrible smell and mould in bathroom, did not feel clean. Could not buy water bottles in bar and could not get dinner after 8.15pm when arriving late.

As part of our commitment to the environment we do not sell bottled water, all rooms have jugs of water and the Hotel has filtered water to all guest rooms and restaurant. We do have early closing times in the restaurant as most guest that are here for work like to eat early and rest as they would normally be busy the next morning with work.
