Checking in was excellent - the gent on reception very polite and informing. Dinner okay but it appears that some of the bar staff are not up to date on what are the standard serves of drinks ie wine 150ml (not small serve) Next morning not good at all. went down to reception to get sugar as the room was supplied a few sachets. requested some more sugar from the gent on reception 27th September, was informed that the room will get more sugar when housekeeping makes up the room. I asked again for sugar stating that it was for me to have another coffee, to be then told go over to the restaurant and ask them. I then asked him f they did indeed have sachets that I could take up to the room. the reply was "not my problem it's a Food and Bev responsibility". He was nothing short of rude and arrogant. This does not play out well for you as the reception is one's first impressions of the establishment. I won't be staying at the location again based on this and I don't appreciate the treatment. I had the same in Parramatta at the Mantra last year.

Ok stay, not as good as in the past

As soon as I arrived, while I was met by a friendly reception staff member, I was quickly told, "You should have booked through Accor directly", as opposed to a 3rd party. That's all well and good, but hey, I just wanted to check in. My room was ok, a bit shabby in places. The cupboard underneath the TV had broken away from the wall and was just sitting there, easily able to be pulled over. The toilet semi-flushed every 3-4 minutes (throughout the night!) which drove me a little mad (I would have changed rooms but to be honest, couldn't be bothered as I didn't notice it until after I returned from work meetings at 9pm and didn't feel like complaining/being moved). Staff at reception were friendly throughout, the room service QR code didn't work all that well (often saying nothing was available - then I went downstairs and ordered at the bar/kitchen myself and asked for takeaway to eat in my room, then being told by staff at the bar "You should have ordered room service upstairs"). So not the best customer service, not the worst either though.
