Staff were taking COVID seriously. This was appreciated There was a decent selection of vegetarian options on the menu for Dinner and Breakfast. Rooms were small but comfortable. room prices were ~3x the price of other options.

Very handy to my work, only a few minutes drive. Easy parking and access. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Dine in Breakfast was delicious, dinner I had one night but wasn't that impressed. The takeaway breakfast was not very good to be honest, bacon and egg roll was hard and it wasn't very convenient taking it in a extra large brown bag. Slightly concerned about Level 2, police presence where I assumed there were guests in solation due to Covid19.

Easy service, but breakfast is a little late opening at the moment

Did not reserve, but had a room, thank. Usual good service and quality of the room. The only down side is breakfast not open till after 7:30 which is a little late for travelers or people on business in the local area. I understand the current situation, but still makes hard to even use a free drink voucher lol

A very nice hotel, clean, practically decorated with a few little comforts one would normally only get from home like choice of pillows. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Remarkably blended functionality, comfort and indulgence into one place.

Room and bed was very comfortable. Shower was a bit small and cramped for me. Food was good except on the first not arrived at room cold.

While the location was great right next to the airport, we were a little disappointed by the lack of customer service. No housekeeping on for the whole weekend, food left overs on the sofa and being asked to pay for coffee with breakfast even though I have the platinum membership. Breakfast was supposed to be served from 6 am but didn't start until 7:30 am so we missed the first day and had to eat outside as we made an early start. Overall more communication and better focus on the loyal Accor members would be highly recommended especially in these challenging times!

No water in room. Room was clean. We have stayed many times before for business but this was the worse, breakfast started at 7.30 (normally 5am) Didn't get the meal we ordered and the food was tough and cold and terrible. We advised the lady behind the bar who said nothing i can do about it. Very disappointing

dirty sticky floor stains in room, (emailed photos to reception) ,breakfast arrived 30mins late, poor bar service as well as reception service. I am an Accor member and have noticed the Ibis hotel at Mackay airport lacking the service for some time now. I ring to book rooms on break often to not have reception answer the phone. I leave a message but never get a call back. Sometimes I ring 5-6 times in a row to still not get a pick up. (I would suggest totally unacceptable) This has happened on numerous occasions.

Lacking common sense

Disappointing experience overall due to a number of things. Firstly it was our first hotel trip after restrictions being fully lifted so missing things like a buffet was already a reality check that old times are gone. Specifically, breakfast was not served until 7:30 which meant we had to eat outside on the first day even though breakfast was included as a platinum member. On 2nd morning we ate in and while the breakfast we ordered was delicious, I had to negotiate to have the coffees included as part of the “free” breakfast. Lastly, dinner was not quite 50% off as Accor Plus discount was “not working properly” on the system so the attendant just entered in one meal instead. Basically the service could have been better and not having any housekeeping on duty is fine but at least let customers know in advance.

Stopped at Ibis Mackay overnight on our drive north. Hotel is right in front of the airport terminal, almost new, clean, great staff, best coffee and brekkie! Received a room upgrade and free brekkie for platinum. Free parking right in front, highly recommended.
