Vibrant economy hotel, open to everyone

Ibis Mackay features ibis Sweet Beds in every room, complimenary car parking, complimentary WIFI, a fully equipped gymnasium and modern Tavern. TurBARlence offers gastro pub food and craft beverage offerings with a great outdoor beer garden. Located beside the airport terminal and with double glazing and core filled block walls the rooms are very quiet. Flight information screens in the hotel, only a 4 minute walk and you will be at your gate.

Take the stress out of flying with our conveniently located airport hotel. Layover and business travellers can be assured of a great nights sleep while holiday travellers can explore this Queensland city on a budget. Enjoy the lush tropical surrounds of Queenslands Mackay and discover the diverse flora and fauna.

Mackay and surrounds is known for it's aquatic and tropical nature spots such as Harbour Beach, Bluewater Lagoon and Eungella National Park.

During this time, the restaurant will be open only to in-house guests and for room service. We will offer pre-order take-away meals from 6am to 9pm and a portable bar with a limited drink selection.

It’s an Ibis - great spot for the airport

Close to the airport! It’s an Ibis so you shouldn’t expect a fancy hotel. But it’s functional and is good for a work hotel or if you have an early flight. Comfy beds for sure. Great air conditioning. The restaurant is too expensive - go elsewhere. Something that puzzled me about the room - there was alcohol, soft drink and snacks in the room but no minibar list, no information on what it was for etc etc. I didn’t touch it but without any information- maybe it’s complimentary?
