I recently stayed at Novotel Bhubaneswar with my family, including my toddler and my wife, who was visiting from the Philippines for the first time. We paid nearly INR 8,000 per night, expecting premium 5-star hospitality. Instead, it turned out to be the worst hotel experience I have ever had in Bhubaneswar, where I have stayed at almost all other 5-star properties. Here is why this property is a complete failure for the price they charge: • Ignored Special Requests: I specifically requested a fully sanitized room and a baby crib for my toddler before checking in. The baby crib was never provided. • Zero Hospitality: There was no welcome water or juice offered upon arrival. No special attention or welcoming gesture was extended to my wife despite informing them it was her first time here. • Horrible Hygiene at Breakfast: The breakfast buffet was chaotic, and there were flies all over the food. To my absolute shock, when I picked up an apple from the counter for my baby, someone had already taken a bite out of it and kept it back! This is a disgusting and dangerous health hazard for a 5-star brand. • Poor Room Service: After ordering food in the room, no one followed up or checked on the service. The used trays were left ignored, forcing me to put them out in the corridor myself. • Unfinished Checkout: After paying the full bill via UPI, I waited in the lobby for my cab, but the staff failed to provide me with my full final receipt. I had to leave in a hurry without it. An Important Note on Staff Feedback: Before leaving, Lina from the restaurant, and Adyasha, Shradha, and Subhash from the front office did ask me how my stay was. At that moment, out of courtesy and because I was in a rush to catch my cab, I casually said "everything was fine." However, as a paying guest, I feel cheated. Just because a guest smiles and avoids a scene at the counter out of politeness does not mean your management is doing a good job. Paying 8k a night is not a joke. This property lacks leadership, basic hygiene, and genuine care for families or international guests. This was my first and absolute last time at Novotel Bhubaneswar. If management doesn't fix this immediately, you will lose a lot of valuable guests. Highly disappointed!

The hotel was really neat and clean, Team was really amazing, welcomed us with warmth, and they were all smilling and happy. Just a feedback for the washroom, when you enter the bathing area the divider below was a bit sharp I meant with a small accident as I was in my almost sleep, I went to wash my legs, I got hurt while entering into it.

The restaurant had few options suitable for Japanese guests. Also, although alcohol was listed on the in-room dining menu, I was told it was not available when I tried to order it. I requested a quiet room away from traffic noise, but was given a noisy roadside room. The staff changed my room after I asked, but I wish my request had been considered from the beginning. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. However, I was often asked to leave reviews on TripAdvisor or Google, which became a little annoying. The hotel and room were very clean, and the bed was very comfortable.
