I had a somewhat complicated reservation and Lynn Yeo in the front office provided excellent customer service and was very accommodating and pleasant to work with. Also, my room was beautiful and very comfortable. Would definitely return here for a furure trip to Seoul.

An ok Mercure which can be better in some way

We stayed here for two night when we first arrived in Seoul which they gave us a room on level 16, it was great with city view. Room was good size and fairly clean (can't use Japanese standard in Korea I guess), hardwares are a bit worn (taps, shower etc) but the water pressure was good. But the second time we come back to stay at this hotel, they gave us a room on level 8 which the water pressure was very low and the cleanese is worse then the previous room we had. We stored our luggages in the hotel for two days which they didn't put our luggages into our new room when we return which was a bit disappointed but we can get by that. Location of this hotel is great, right in the busiest part of Hongdae, easy to get to subway & bus stops. Lots of shopping, cafe & famous restaurants near by, too. I will recommend this hotel to people who only wants to stay for sleeping and rest.

A Memorable First Visit to Korea – Thank You, Mercure Hongdae

This was my first time visiting Korea, and I was truly impressed by Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ms. Sara Lee, who made our stay extra special. She offered us an early check-in and late check-out, which made our trip much more comfortable. Sara also provided clear and friendly information about the hotel and surrounding area – her hospitality was outstanding. We stayed in a room on the 15th floor, which was soundproofed from the busy street below. The room was clean, modern, and had a very comfortable bed – perfect after a long day of exploring. The location of the hotel is absolutely superb. It’s just a few steps from Hongik University Station, Exit 9, with a direct connection from Incheon Airport via the AREX line. The hotel is also surrounded by a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, and cafes, making it a perfect base to explore the lively Hongdae area. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again!

Cozy, Clean, Comfy. Perfect Stay Experience!

First off, the ambience was fantastic. From the lobby to the corridors, to the room itself. Music, lighting, aroma were consistent. The lighting options in the room set a very cozy tone. Secondly, the bed and pillows are extremely comfy. It felt like we were sleeping on clouds. The bed is huge too! There is also a door that separates the toilet/bath/basin area from the main room, which helps to block out light and noise. Thirdly, even though the restaurant is not an in-house one, the in-room dining selections offered by Tian Mi Mi were fantastic! The dishes were delicious! (Fyi, Tian Mi Mi is run by Culinary Class Warfare's participant, Chef Jung Ji-sun!) Lastly, the team members were fantastic. Everyone was polite, willing to help, and fulfilled our requests very quickly! Special mention to Front Office Manager, Mr. Kay Kim. We had encountered some issues with a purchase we made at a store. We had attempted to make the call ourselves, but we had reached the limits of our Korean-speaking abilities. We then approached Kay and requested his help in speaking to the store to explain to them our situation, and for us to seek clarification. Kay immediately understood our situation, and called the store on our behalf. Kay explained to the store in exact detail and we were able to clarify the situation with the staff. Throughout the brief interaction, Kay was very light-hearted, and injected some humour into our conversation which really set us at ease. He handled our request with confidence. Needless to say, we had a perfect experience at Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae. Kudos to Kay and his team! We will certainly be back to stay during our next trip to Seoul! P.S. If you are redeeming your complimentary drink from the M Cafe at the lobby, get the Iced Peach Tea. It is so refreshing!

You can get to the hotel by Airport Limosine 6002. Entrance is behind the building. Staff were really friendly. Check-in was fast. Room was great though a bit squeeze to put suitcase. Hot shower was great. Aircon can be controlled. Fridge was cold. The gym was small but it has what you need for a good workout. Coin laundry was awesome. The only hassle was switching lifts at the lobby. Kind of weird if not properly dressed. TV channels were ok. I misunderstood the instructions to Chromecast. You need to be logged into the room wifi instead of hotel wifi... i think. There are lots of cafes, restaurants around the hotel. Not much of shopping malls, just boutique small shops.
