We stayed at the SLS recently and we expected to have a high service level given the rating and cost of the hotel. We arrived at 1pm and we told our room wasn't available, we were told to wait a while until it'd be ready. We had a spa treatment scheduled for 4pm and expected to get into our rooms prior to that, obviously things happen and sometimes room availability is delayed. We ultimately didn't get into our rooms until after the spa treatment nearly 6pm. We also requested our bags prior to the spa treatment so we could put on our swim suits and enjoy the pool prior to the spa treatment, but that took nearly 25 min and we barely had time before the treatment. I was told to expect a welcome letter from AMEX when I checked in, but they didn't have it available but would give it to me later when we checked in. When we checked in, we were told the letter wasn't available but someone would bring it up to our room. Hours later, I called to find out if someone was going to bring the letter up to me, and I was told someone was on their way and I could even wait outside my room for someone to bring it. Nobody ever brought the welcome letter. The next day I asked the front desk about the welcome letter and they told me actually there was a "system error" and that they couldn't give it to me but they could explain my benefits. I overall was displeased with how long this took, how I was promised the welcome letter multiple times and ultimately it was never given. The hotel itself is very nice, the room was nice, the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was good. But some of the service issues we experienced were troubling and make me think of not staying here in the future if I were to come back to Dubai.

If your are looking for excellent skyline of Dubai with direct of of the Burj Khalifa, that’s your hotel! Service is excellent, I was shocked of the fact that we were provided new toothbrushes everyday of our stay. It’s super clean and turned down service every evening….the infinity pool with view of the Burj Khalifa was breathtaking…. Would definitely go back there.

Disappointed because I used to enjoy my stay at SLS. The service was not as the usual, the room wasn’t clean even the kitchen (cups/spoons), after housekeeping service every thing should be replaced specially the used items like (toothbrush/ sleepers/ Ear sticks) , I had to order them every day. The kitchen sink floated in one day also there was bad smell in the room in the entire stay. Small bugs all over the room. So we decided that this stay will be our last one here since we didn’t enjoyed our stay.
