I stay at the hotel several times a year. Since lockdown, people are staying in rooms that are non hotel guests. They are noisy and have no regard for hotel guests. I was kept awake until 3 in the morning due to their shouting, laughing, talking. I didn't complain. as I felt that there was nothing the staff could do, and I did not want to cause a fuss at that time of morning. The staff are always friendly and helpful and previously it used to be a good experience.

The bedrooms are very clinical but comfortable. I was disappointed to have only a shower and no bath. I was very happy with the safe parking. I didn't eat or drink in the hotel apart from coffee in the bedroom.

I chose this hotel because a hot breakfast was included, rather than a goody bag. I came here to revise for an exam, escaping my daily routine at home. The first Queen room had a window that wouldn't seal properly, allowing in the traffic noise. Reception tried to fix it but changed my room within a few minutes. I should have stuck with it as the next room had a bloke that was playing drum and bass for most of my stay. I was afraid to complain in case things got ugly with my neighbour and I really didn't want to change rooms again. I want to book this hotel again as the covid measures were sensible, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great... but I may stick with my usual: Hampton by Hilton. I expected an incentive to come back when I complained at checkout, but wasn't offered anything. The hotel was strangely busy despite lockdown.

Generally okay but unfortunately no do not disturb sign for the room. I was only staying two nights and would have felt more comfortable without someone being in the room during the day.

My first event / stay in a hotel since the Covid-19 outbreak. The hotel was clean and tidy, and had been well adapted to conform with Covid standards. The staff were very helpful, and considerate to the guests, particularly some older ones who were a little confused by the Covid requirements. The manager and staff worked very hard to make the event (wedding) a lovely occasion.

We arrived late but were impressed with the set up for COVID-19 and we both felt very safe. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had a really good night's rest after visiting our grand children.

My company pension association cancelled the trip due to lockdown, so I had to cancel my stay. The Stevenage hotel kept advising me that head office would provide a refund but after several months it still had not been done. With the help of someone from central reservations, who advised me that Stevenage should do the refund, my account was finally credited.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and I have given constructive feedback several times. It still amazes me that it seem to be incredibly difficult to go through every room with a checklist and make sure that things are not broken, lamp bulbs are working and air con don’t keep guest awake all night long. Room 313, both bedside lights broken, room lamp also broken so there were only two options ... pitch black or all ceiling lights on. No towels in the room upon arrival, door security latch not present. Air conditioning unit makes very loud noises all night long. Very simple a very disappointing experience again.

Terrible stay, just like a Travelodge

This place was absolutely terrible. It was the worst stay in an Accor chain. The pictured of the hotel looked nice, but in real life it was tatty and seemed unclean. The carpets were filthy throughout the hotel and in the bedrooms. The bed and wooden headboard creaked and the wood was loose from the wall. The AC made a loud noise, even when it was turned off. The bathrooms were great and the shower gel and soap supplied were good products too. There was a lot of banging of doors and noisy guests through to the early morning. The breakfast was day like robbery. £7.50 for a croissant, yoghurt, and a banana. The reception staff were friendly and professional. I was mistakenly overcharged, but this was rectified immediately and I was happy with the process. The hotel staff were great.

This is not the first time I have used this hotel during the covid period and unfortunately on both occasions this hotel like so many others during the pandemic seems to still be accommodating a large amount of people who have long term housing needs who are Very noisy until 01:30 with groups congregating and drinking in Outside communal areas and internal areas of the hotel treating it more like a holiday camp than a hotel. As an oap with a disability on both visits no disability rooms have been available when requested but only to find this out on the morning of the visit with a phone call, on my first trip I never found this out until check in both time I have ended up staying in the 1st and 2nd floors.
