The best thing about this Hotel is that it is very well lit, including the rooms, lobby, restaurants and the pool side, and has a very lively feel (unlike many other 5/6 star hotels in Pakistan). The customer service is also very good (better than other 5 star hotels i have stayed in).

I recently stayed at the Mövenpick Karachi for a family visit, and I wanted to extend my sincere thanks to the team led by Mr. Akbar Khan. He is a true gentleman whose focus on providing an exceptional guest experience really stood out during our stay. A special mention must also go to Mr. Usama, who made our welcome so warm and heartening from the moment we arrived. It’s the dedication of professionals like them that makes a stay memorable. I frequently stay at this hotel. Over last few visits I experienced multiple issues with facility maintenance. This visit was exceptionally uncomfortable. Faced all of the following on this stay. 1. Sink was clogged. Dirty water leaked all over the floor rendering washroom unusable. Called housekeeping and maintenance. Despite their best efforts they were unable to fix it. Since I was pushed against time I was forced to use it in unhygienic and risky conditions. Was able to reach airport in very last moment to catch my flight. All delay was caused by this poor maintained facility. 2. Hot water in bath tub was dirty. Had to flush it twice before getting some that was not visibly dirty. Anyway was unable to take bath because of maintenance issue reported in point 1 above. 3. AC controller doesn't work. Have experienced it in almost all previous visits. 4. Quality of paper provided in washroom is extremely low. One expects at least an average quality when paying PKR 50K ($175) a night. The maintenance issue sometimes, sometimes significant sometimes not, are so frequent that it appears a systematic issue rather than an occasional hiccup. Sincerely hope that the management is able to fix it.
