The staff was very helpful during my stay, the only point which I want to make suggestion is that during the breakfast there were too many houseflies in the outlet (which I think should be sorted out) even it was on the live counter of eggs

GREAT FOR KIDS, with the open spaces and big trees, the GIANT SANDBOX, and the Zooniverse petting zoo – amazing, really. Our son still says "I love Movenpick!” with a true smile. The breakfast buffet is really outstanding – about as good as it gets at a 5-star property! -- However, the lunch and dinner at same restaurant (Flavors) were not at all at the same level, and alcohol is rather overpriced. The Italian restaurant above it is somewhat better. Also, the lack of a small store to buy little things (most isolated resorts have a convenience store of sorts). -- OVERALL, we are happy and thankful for our experience there, including the upgrade to a litter bigger room, which was great with a family. -- One last thing for families with small children who want to swim with them like us, the pool at the sister property (same ownership), Estella (albeit a 4 star property), is much better, and we were able to ride the Movenpick hotel buggy over to swim there in the evenings, and that was really great. Indeed, we will come again to Movenpick Khao Yai -- a rather special place and experience!

We stayed at Mövenpick Khao Yai from 8th March to 9th March and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. We chose this property because it is part of the Accor group and because I am an Accor Plus member. The stay was meant to celebrate our anniversary, so we were really looking forward to a pleasant and memorable experience. Sadly, it turned out to be the complete opposite. Our booking was made using Accor points. However, upon arrival the staff insisted that we pay the remaining balance instead of allowing us to offset it with our available Accor points, even though our points balance was sufficient. When we asked about using our points, the manager at reception, Tim, was quite rude and dismissive. His attitude made us feel uncomfortable, almost as if we were being judged for redeeming loyalty benefits. What was even more surprising was that once we agreed to pay the balance amount, his behavior suddenly became polite and friendly. The sudden change in attitude felt extremely insincere and unprofessional. As an Accor Plus member we also requested a room upgrade if available. Initially this was refused and we were told we had to pay extra. After multiple discussions they finally offered us an “upgrade,” but the room had a partially blocked view from one side, which was quite disappointing and certainly not what one would expect from an upgrade at a five-star property. The issues did not stop there. During checkout we asked the hotel to help arrange a taxi. The staff informed us that the only available option was a “limousine service” costing 1000 THB. Since we were getting late we agreed, but when the vehicle arrived it was simply a normal sedan and not a limousine at all. Charging guests for a limousine service and providing a regular car is extremely misleading and left us feeling cheated. What makes this even more unfortunate is that we originally chose this property because of its beautiful and aesthetic surroundings. In fact, we were seriously considering this location for our pre-wedding shoot in the future. However, after this experience we completely changed our minds. We had initially planned to stay for two nights, but because of the overall unpleasant experience we decided to shorten our stay and checked out after just one night. While the property may look beautiful in photos, the service, transparency, and professionalism we experienced did not match the standards expected from a five-star Accor property. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend that future guests be cautious and ensure full clarity regarding charges and services offered. This was supposed to be a special anniversary stay, but unfortunately it ended up being a very disappointing experience.
