Stay away from this place! So we started off in room 503 nice room until we wanted a bath and realised the tap would only do shower after hiking all day in the peak district! So called reception and they came to investigate gave us a bottle of wine as a appology and moved us to 504, went for food in the restaurant and what a absolute disaster that was, chips were room temp, and my partner had ordered the chicken breast with lyonnaise potato's, The chicken brest isn't a chicken breast and is in fact a forequarter with bones and a very cheap bit of chicken and want to charge £18 for and nowhere does it say with bones at all so my partner resulted in going out and getting a take away pizza, then it came to sleeping in our new room 504! Disaster when turned off the tv, we could hear what sounded like a fire alarm or a fire exit open, so I called reception who seemed to do nothing about the noise nor let us know anything so not being able to sleep I went to reception yet again to find out why, they had no idea fire exit was open which is alarming as they have signs saying thieves operating in this area!! So talked to the night man at reception who explained it was the generator and pumps and could not be turned off!! Offered to move us but as no one had told us earlier it was now 00:34 and I'm not moving rooms again now! No sleep and a 3 and half hour journey home tomorrow! And with the sound reading over 60db in the room this was unbearable! Will never be returning here and no way is a 5* hotel more like 2*

Overall an OK experience. The hotel is a little run down, cleanliness can be improved, the breakfast was OK..below expectation for a 4 star hotel. Staff were friendly. The spa facilities were good, however, they were running classes in the pool which defeated the relaxing purpose of a spa. I was also made to pay a 50p deposit for the towels in the spa..it’s the principle!! Overall wouldn’t recommend.

Dear Aamenagorji, Thankyou for your recent reviews ,and i am sorry you weren't happy with the overall experience .I will be passing the information on to the relevant department to make improvements and thankyou very much for your feedback we will take all this into consideration. Kind regards Lisa

I visited here for my Aunty’s birthday and was pleasantly surprised with our rooms as we had been upgraded. We had the garden suite which had ample space, lovely decor and bottles of fizz too! The spa facilities are always amazing and the therapists are brilliant. I would definitely recommend a full body massage. However, the customer service is something that lets this hotel down. After booking through spa breaks, which I have before, I was disappointed by the service we received during our stay. I arrived and confirmed the times for the evening meals and asked where we would be eating, as I had noticed that there was a function being set up in the restaurant. The receptionist told me that we would be eating in the lobby, which was fine as we had done before and the set up was lovely. We arrived for dinner for my Aunty’s birthday meal and none of the tables had been set in the lobby. I asked if we were still eating here and the receptionist said yes. The food and beverage manager, apologised and began to sort out a table. We had to put 2 tables together and cutlery was just passed to us. For a 60th birthday meal this was rather disappointing, as on our previous stay there was a table cloth, and the table was set beautifully. The food however, was phenomenal! On the Saturday, there was a lot of miscommunication as to what was available for lunch as I had to reorder 3 times due to the kitchen not having the food available. This is something that could have been said beforehand to the staff, so they could make customers aware. Then on the Saturday evening, we went to the restaurant to eat and were told that we didn’t have a booking. Even though both evening bookings had been confirmed on arrival. The staff quickly sorted this out and we had a nice meal. Overall, it felt as though the staff were not communicating with each other, which put a dampener on the weekend. Also, as I booked through a third party website, I am not satisfied with the communication between them and the hotel. If you are allowing guests to book through a third party website, you should retrieve all the information before their stay. I am in 2 minds as to whether I would return to this hotel again, or seek out somewhere else.

I have been visiting Kenwood Hotel and Spa for the past few years now with my female relatives to enjoy a birthday treat. The spa is in need of some TLC and cleaning and they need to keep an eye on kids using the jacuzzi/steam rooms when it clearly states they are not meant to. We had a good sleep on the second night but the first night was pretty dire as there was a 60th birthday party going on in the bar/restaurant area and the noise levels from the music were unbearable to the point where I had to borrow my sisters noise cancelling headphones. It was so bad the room felt like it was vibrating and we could not hear the TV properly. It went on until midnight and then stopped abruptly. There was then of course, noisy revellers coming back to their rooms and making noise and slamming doors. I love it at Kenwood hall as it has become a bit of a tradition with my sisters/daughter now and we love the location but we are seriously thinking of going elsewhere next year due to the issues mentioned.

Dear Sam Sorry to hear about your stay with us ,also sorry about the noise from the event .If you do decide to book with us again and have any issues please come to reception where we can try and deal with it for you . Kind regards Lisa
