Great deep tissue massage

TripAdvisor rating 5.0/5

Route107 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

Hi, I've just had the most wonderful message at the kenwood hall this afternoon. I needed a man with strong muscles to give me a strong deep tissue massage as I physically work hard at my job. And that's just what I had only not by a strong man but rather by a petite strong woman by the name of Alison. Deep tissue what I wanted and that's what I got, she's so professional and knowledgeable about what pressure to implement and where. I am so happy to have had Alison to sort my aches and pains away and highly recommend her to anyone. Thank you very much Alison. Otto.

good location, nice room, nice breakfast - VERY hard bed

As per the review title and still my favourite place to stay in Sheffield. The staff are always friendly, the breakfast excellent and the whole place clean and tidy. Lots of parking. The beds in the superior room seem to have changed from king size to standard double - a bit small for a couple these days - and are very hard/firm. The pillows this time also seemed to squash down to nothing.

Fantastic customer service

Every single member of staff we came into contact with was happy and helpful. Well done Mercure, so many people struggle to get customer service right, but you have it spot on! The Sunday Slumber package was great value and I had the best back massage thank you to Leanne and Pheobe in the spa. I have already recommended this hotel to many people.

Very Disappointing

Tinxlebinx Families - TripAdvisor review

We booked the Kenwood hall Terrace room for my mums wake on March 6th. We got off to a bad start when we arrived as the road the hotel is on had been closed off at both ends and we hadn't been informed. After taking it upon ourselves to move the cones and getting some horn blowing from the guy on the digger we managed to get into the hotel. Reception pointed out where to go to get to the Terrace room which had no sign posted and the way was blocked by a huge tanker clearing out the drains which we had to squeeze past on foot. The room was nice and bright but very tired looking and there were a good selection of tea bags and hot water and coffee in pump flasks which kept being refilled. However the buffet for 25 people was dismal, a selection of sandwiches on thin sliced bread with the minimum of filling, the pork pie pastry shattered when I cut into it and the tray of sausage rolls were anemic ( we had to pay an extra £4.50 per head for these delights). Also extra was the cake selection which we had upgraded to from our middle of the road option. There was a choice of four cakes all cut quite small and not the best looking or tasting if I'm honest. The restrooms are in dire need of some maintenance as is the whole section of the building. My mum would not have been impressed!. I have been to the Kenwood for weddings over the years and it used to be top notch but I'm afraid it's days of grandeur are long gone. My husband and myself were thinking of booking to stay here for 2 nights in October as we are attending a wedding in the city centre, however I'm so glad that we got to visit before hand to experience what it was like!. We definitely won't be staying at the Kenwood Hall hotel.

All good
