When we checked in we were told there was no upgrade available as they were fully booked. As Accor member we expected better than that as we booked a fair way in advance. Then we got to our room and it was not only tiny but filthy. The carpet was so dirty we had to wear shoes to stop our feet sticking to the gross carpet. The bathroom was disgusting. We went out for early diner as we had to get up really early to head to Queenstown. When we returned and tried to go to sleep the adjoining A/C unit was so noisy it vibrated our room.! We contacted reception who sent a person to check it out . He was obviously aware of the issue but did not want to admit and had no solution. Then we requested for the manager to come , after several calls Monica turned up and was sympathetic but could not offer a solution. We asked to be moved to another room or another hotel but were told they were fully booked. The noise stopped for a short period and started again , Monica was ending his shift so just wanted to get out and hand over to his night manager. We had about 4hrs sleep and could not wait to get out of this over rated hotel. Monica said he had sent an email away to request a total refund for the nights accommodation, but we have heard nothing yet after 4 weeks. We will pursue this with great gusto and will not let it go until we get a full refund and apology for the disgusting way we were treated.

Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Bed bugs in our room. Bites all over. Front desk and management offered free breakfast… do better

We love how beautiful this location is, unfortunately they seemed like short of staff. As there is a premium lane for check-in but still everyone is waiting into one lane to check-in as there is only one staff at the counter.
