Nice hotel, great location for the lake and hiking up the hill. Plenty to see and do at Lake Tekapo, but consider staying in Lake Pukaki too. It’s less touristy! Not far from Mount Cook. It’s a good road and we drove it several times (but do check its open if the weather turns). Not a posh hotel, but good size room. Hotel restaurant didn’t look special, but you can walk over the road and there are plenty of options (they’ll help you with booking if its busy period too - helpful staff).

The staffs were not kind. We paid a lot of money, but many things in the room were broken such as the hood light in the kitchen, door broken. Not enough salt and pepper. Wifi signal kept cutting. I won't go back again with the same payment
