Brief directions given at reception as to how to reach our unit, which we cwe ouldn't follow. Directions re parking were also unsatisfactory, o get back to our did not know how to get back to our unit. We asked a passing cleaning lady. She was very helpful and took us there. There was no helpful folder in the unit to give instructions on operating equipment. There were no helpful telephone numbers, eg RSL, taxi, cinema, takeaway food places, etc. My biggest complaint was the building site just outside our unit. I was told when booking the the work would be completed early Dec.ember. I took this to mean during our first week and thought they would be putting finishing touches to the pool. In fact, it was far from complete even when we left. During our stay there was a constant noise and workmen passing to and fro past our windows. Even on the Saturday when there shouldn't have been any work there was drilling from early morning. We went out but it was still continuing in the afternoon until approx. 3.00 pm. I complained on departure and asked for compensation. 15 per cent off the bill was offered and I accepted this. I trust you will make this repayment as soon as possible. It was sad that there were so many problems as the apartment was beautiful and we could have had a wonderful holiday.

Great location, nice apartment, poor customer service

We loved our stay, apartment was great. Only let down was customer service, we were meant to be receiving a 15% refund due to pool closure a week before our stay and we are now a week after our stay and still no refund received. Can’t get a hold of anyone on the phone, email or call back message service and I did speak to the receptionist during our stay who ensured me we will receive the refund via email, still no email.

Our Caloundra catch up was nearly perfect. Great balcony views of the Pumicestone Passage, easy walking distance to beach front cafes and restaurants, and centrally located to Main Street shopping. You can even walk to Bribie Island if you wish. Our spacious room was excellent, with all the amenities needed to be self contained if that was what you wanted. The private rooftop BBQ and spa was a great surprise. Once the swimming pool refurbishment is complete, the experience at Breakfree Caloundra would be 10/10!

The service at the desk was lovely but we were unhappy with the room for the amount of money we paid. Stains on the carpet, air con didn’t work in the bedrooms. The rooms were so hot that we ended up sleeping in the lounge room. I wouldn’t recommend staying in the 3 bedroom roof top again.
