Awful, discompassionate place

Firstly, I cannot believe I was sent an invitation to complete this survey. I was unfortunately not able to travel due to having an accident. After trying to gain a refund, through Jetstar Hotels (who were fantastic in trying to assist), the hotel refused to comply. I provided a Not Fit To Travel certificate, along with my operation procedure. Disgusting. And then I'm sent an invitation to complete a survey about my stay????

The location was okay, it was a 35min walk to Airlie Beach along Bicentennial Walk. Rooms could be set up better with proper blockout blinds and power point locations near bedhead. Bathroom needs to be renovated, its old, outdated and shower area is small and awkward. Restaurant, service was great but meals are ordinary and not worth the price. Pool area is well maintained and cleaned.

Overall the experience was good. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Location was not ideal as you couldn’t walk to the Main Street of town. The food was good but service at dinner was slow, I had to ask for someone to take our order. All other facilities were good and basically everything you needed.

Photos are misleading, the place is run down and has a pest and bug infestation. The rooms felt untidy and unclean

Friendly staff, resort vibe, quiet location near coastal walking paths. Great included breakfast but it got a bit boring after a week!
