Set on bustling Grey Street the centre of the South Bank arts and culture district and adjacent to the Brisbane River and South Bank Parklands, this contemporary hotel is set between both South Brisbane and South Bank train stations for easy access. Why have I not stayed here before? Being acccor gold explorer, I tend to lean towards the Accor brand. Typically I end up at the Pullman, Sofitel in the downtown city. What a mistake. This hotel is my go to from here on out. Perfect location! Filled with amazing restaurants and a buzzing, safe part of the city to stroll around at night. Cannot get a better location in Brisbane. The staff here are wonderful also, especially a shout out to Melita for looking after us. She was very kind and empathetic to our situation and went above and beyond. We used the carpark at the convention centre for $35 a night which was super convenient. Only issue is there isn’t a way you can pay the $35 and take your car in and out. Learnt that the hard way and the first day we paid total $55. All in all, best stay in brissy and my new home away from home when I’m visiting the city. Highly recommend!!

The hotel's physical condition and cleanliness level did not match the price paid. The bathroom was a low quality motel in terms of condition of the door (dented) and the fixtures. The headboard was not clean, and the chair had an odor. The quality of the furniture was low and while it looked like you were going for a minimal look, the room just looked like it lacked furnishings. A wingback chair but not settee. The wall mounted tv looks cheap without a credenze below it. There was one set of towels in the room and two people staying in. I went to the desk and asked if they were expecting two people in the room. They said one but it would not cost more to add a second person. They agreed to send up an additional set of towels, which they did. The next day, housekeeping left us with one set of towels. The housekeeping staff seem to do the absolute minimum. Last, leaving a water bottle with water in it in the room sends the wrong message. We're fine not having bottled water and getting our own, but it would be much better to have a bottle filler on the floor, rather than in the lobby.
