We booked well ahead to secure a 1 bedroom top floor balcony unit for New Years Eve. The unit was spacious and well equipped, with a comfy queen bed. The Mantra is centrally located to Southbank cultural facilities and a wide range of restaurants. We included breakfast with our booking and found the restaurant excellent and staff friendly. We had an excellent front row seat for the fireworks on our balcony. Highly recommended for a great view!

The Mantra experience is not the Mantra Experience any more. Cost cutting measures have led to a slimmed down service & a stark, unfriendly room which needed maintenance. No biscuits to have with the tea & coffee, room service food served in cardboard containers with wooden cutlery, only one face washer & hand towel when there are 2 people booked in, not enough chairs to sit on - 1 easy chair & 1 chair at the desk - hard to eat at the desk with an easy chair & besides there used to be a little table in the room. No smorgasboard breakfast. Very disappointing.

Very warm welcome on arrival . The reception staff were excellent and very helpful. We had a lovely room with a view of Brisbane city. I also received a suprise bottle of wine and chocolates for by birthday stay which was very unexpected. Such a nice touch .
