Not so good. The quality of the breakfast buffet was below par. All the staff were courteous and helpful but if there is staff shortage then its a helpless situation.

Hotel is a bit far from kochi town still it is located near a busy town with all shops and restaurants. Doesn't feels like a five star hotel when compared to the other big Hotels with at the city,still it has got most of the facilities of a five star hotel. As im from the Malabar area, Malabar biriyani provided at the lunch buffet was never can be compared to Malabar taste but all the other other foods was perfect. All together the stay was perfect

We checked in around 3.15 pm. Purely transactional interaction with staff. Not much of warmth or welcome. Had booked for buffet dinner. We reached around 8.30 pm and most of the items were almost over. Staff were bare minimum and they seemed overworked. The floor was littered with food waste. Not much time left for the few staff to focus or give individual attention to guests. For breakfast, staff were present and they were friendly, cordial and it was a completely different experience from dinner. Checkout was smooth but again no mention of anything personal. Not even regarding our stay. On the way out, a group of foreigners came and so we took our own luggage and got into our car as the person in charge of valet parking was missing. On the way out, the bus in which the group came were blocking our way but there was no security in sight to resolve our issue. Somehow we managed to exit the hotel. Talked to the security staff once we crossed the obstacle on our own but they expressed their helplessness and asked to talk to Management. There seems to be least emphasis on domestic customers and service in general. Regarding cleanliness, it leaves a lot to be desired. The washrooms are not properly cleaned. Before we got into the room we found a stack of used plates just in front of our door leaving a very bad first impression. There is a fine line of dust on the desk and everywhere. The carpet looks worn out and the chair with the green cushion has some questionable stains. No fresh smell on entering the room. The room itself looks like it can do better with deep cleaning. Atleast can invest in room freshner. Tried the shower gel and it was empty. If it can't be replenished then the bottle should be removed. Asked for branded mineral water and got the Novotel bottle. For family I will definitely not recommend your hotel. Location is good but service, ambience, cleanliness etc. is the absolute worst. Doesn't feel like a five star hotel at all. Maybe the business model works for you. Maximum profit with less investment on staff, customer training, cleaning, purchase of supplies etc.
