The location of the hotel is next to a very noisy neighbourhood. The amenities are very old. No refrigerator or AC in the room. The carpet smells horrible. In the bathroom, there was a shower curtain covered in pink mold which also gave a really bad smell.For three nights, I could not sleep at all even with the windows closed as the neighbours in the apartment next to the hotel were making extreme noises. And it was during very hot temperatures with no AC. Only book rooms which opens in the courtyard not the street.The hotel is very dated to a point where they are hiding carpet damage in the hallway under some rugs.

The staff was neither friendly nor helpful. The room is not up to Mercure standards. The bed was awful, and the pillows were disgusting. The rooms are old and are from a past era. Security seemed lax, as no one was usually at the front desk. They seem to sit in the office behind the check-in area. Never once, when I came into the lobby from the outside, and you could hear the entrance door opening, did anyone come out to see who was coming into the building. I would rate this hotel worse than any Ibis Budget Hotel that I have stayed in. Perhaps Accor should use this hotel as its first Mercure Budget Hotel.

Good hotel. Good room, very good breakfast, friendly staff. Easily reached by tram 1 from Hbf./Kölner Platz to Ambrosiusplatz tram stop, 100 m. from the hotel.

I have been staying at this hotel for 8 years now and every year that passes things get better, this year was just as comfortable and caring as before. However the bar and restaurant have re-opened and the barmanager is doing an excellent job and was very engaging when i ate there. I will come again!

Das Hotel muss dringend renoviert werden und entspricht nicht dem Standard den ich von Mercure gewohnt bin. Diese Kritik ist ausdrücklich nicht an Das Personal gerichtet welches freundlich ist und sein bestes gibt. Die Zimmer sind alt, die Möbel abgeschlagen und es waren weiße Flecken auf den Tischen. Da kann das Servicepersonal auch nichts mehr machen wenn der Lack ab ist. Die Teppichböden im Flur hatten Löcher welche mit Läufern abgedeckt wurden. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls dürftig und nicht so reichhaltig wie ich es von anderen Mercure Hotels kenne. Für mich höchstens zweite Wahl.
