The Hotel appearance is very misleading. The outside of the Hotel has a good appearance, the lobby is OK, however the rooms need a complete makeover. My room, had a water stain in the ceiling, ceiling paint rolling off the walls near the air conditioning, the room was too tight to have 2 beds ..the room size should only be 1 Bed. This was an awful layout. The room had a stinky moldy smell. The bathroom shower had mold in between the grout lines and also there was MOLD on the corners of the wall/shower doors..the mold stands out. Hard to miss it. The staff does not do a good cleaning to be honest, I wouldn't stay here again.

My two nights stay at the Pergamon Frei Caneca was overall great. As an ALL Gold Member I was allowed to early check-in and late check-out as well a very good upgrade was granted. The staff is really nice and welcoming. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The only improvement point I would indicate is the coffee in the breakfast which is not good. There is a coffee machine which is not functioning well and when it does, the coffee has a very very low quality, which is not good even more considering you are in the "country of coffee". Get rid of that coffee machine and serve a "cafè passado no bule" and everything would be alright for me! :-D

All went smoothly. The hotel employees were kind and responsive. I was on a business trip and the location was useful. I left my luggage at the hotel and could easily retrieved it.

I had an amazing stay at Pergamon. Everyone working there was so kindly and friendly, I felt very welcomed. The breakfast was very good. Ivanildo de Nascimento, Douglas, Livia and Nicholas were incredibly attentive and nice to me. The room was perfect. No complaints. I recommend highly this hotel. 100%

The F&B area and food itself is great. The rooms accommodation is fair for the price, it not a new property, Accor Hotels started to manage the property recently, I was informed that they be under full rennovation soon. That is good, I strongly recommend to change all rooms doors for a acoustic proof model.

Breakfast, staff and location are great. However, absolutely no status recognition at this property. I didn’t receive anything I am usually entitled to. No upgrade (hotel was empty), welcome drink, etc. The room itself was decent but only had 1 towel (reservation clearly indicated 2 guests), smelled very damp/humid and had a noisy AC that kept us awake. It might be a 4-star by Brazilian standards but I was personally quite disappointed. My experience with Accor Hotels is usually positive. Just want to be clear that this property is not horrible by any means, but I’m sure there are better similar prices options out there. We were in the mid-tier room and were placed on the 8th floor.

Hotel in a good location, old building, dirty carpets on corridor, dirty window glasses, bedding with holes, NICE EMPLOYEES. I checked in but didn´t stay. Hotel returned my money imediately. Room in a good size, I didn´t get to see the restaurant because I left quickly. At the end of the day, in my oppinion, it takes a some investment and cleaning because the location, rooms and employees are good.

KKua Friends getaway - 16/01/2019 TripAdvisor review

There’s room for improvements throughtout the property… but I really cannot find a single fault that needs major complaining. The one good blessing here is they observe Accor hotel frequent guest program… and that meant we were allowed early check-in and late check-out.Previous complaints listed are all unfounded. The area is not unsafe. It’s just filled with young noisy kids stat stay out late on Rua Augusta (parallel to hotel’s street). Rua Frei Caneca, where property is located, has lots of venues that do not begin to open until the sun is down. It’s a reasonable walking distance to Paulista Avenue where the heart of the city eminates. As for the staff trying to micro-manage the guests, well, I haven’t noticed. The front desk staff was very friendly everytime we come in and leave the property. Only on the first breakfast did they ask for a hotel room key to verify we are guests.Pros: early check-in (for every room in my entire party); spacious rooms with big closets; excellent location that is far enough from Ave Paulista; warm/hot side of the breakfast buffet varied every day; the staff was able to put my entire party on the same floor; late checkout available upon request;Cons: no ice machines available on any floors and the bar charges R.10 for a bucket of ice; no dedicated security detail for late night lobby; elevators could use a room key security feature to access desired floors; bathroom fixtures are shaky and can fall at any moment; location is a bit far from nightlife; batteries running low for the room safe box to operate with any confidence.

The hotel does not look dirty, but has absolutely no access control. No one never asked me where was I staying when I went to to the breakfast or while I arrived in many different times. Felt like anyone could have access to any place inside the hotel.
