We had a family overnight stay at the hotel and from checking in to checking out was a wonderful experience! The staff and management were amazing, friendly and very helpful. We needed milk late at night for the youngest member of our family and restaurant staff were so helpful! Thoroughly recommend it and was the best stay in a hotel since Covid!

This is the best run hotel I’ve stayed at in a long time. The staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel was clean in all areas. The bed was comfortable, sheets and towels were great. Tea/coffee and cookies in the room filled daily! Breakfast was delicious with excellent coffee machine, juices, hot breakfast and omelettes made on request. Fresh fruit, pastries and cereal… if you can’t find what you want, it doesn’t exist. The location is next to a large shopping area with 20 restaurants, clothing stores, drug stores and more. 10 minute max Uber from the train station. Very convenient to everything. Stayed 7 nights and my stay was amazing. Well staffed with all the right people to take great Care of their guests. Thank you for all the hospitality!!

Very reasonable family rate for 2 rooms, with the 2nd room discounted by 50%. Comfortable and modern rooms, very clean. Sofa bed was small for 2 people but would be manageable for 1 night. Sofa bed was made from firm foam, not the usual squishy hotel sofa beds. We were at the back of the hotel so no road noise, but the road is very busy so I'm not sure how quiet the front rooms would be. There was some minimal noise from the corridors/doors. Aircon worked very well. Really good selection of teas and biscuits in the room. Breakfast decent and very reasonably priced, especially as children eat for free. Our children loved the pancake machine! Outdoor parking £10 , 2 minutes from the hotel. Right across the road from many chain restaurants, a big John Lewis, and the main city centre mall.

The hotel itself and the rooms were fine, had no issues here. However, the staff are an absolute let down. Firstly, we arrive around 1.30 and whilst all hotels will have a specified check-in time, they will look to accommodate you if the rooms are ready, but in this case, the member of staff at reception didn't even bother to check and simply said 'check-in is at 3pm....for a second felt like I was talking to the Terminator. I couldn't be bothered to discuss it any further and so we left our bags with reception and went for lunch. We came back to the hotel at around 2.30pm and got the same response. Somebody clearly needs to work with the Reception staff and seriously work on their Customer Service and interpersonal skills! We eventually got our rooms when the Terminators computer said it was now past 3pm! As mentioned, the rooms were fine. Unfortunately we continued to have issues with every single of member of staff we had to interact with. We asked again at Reception if they could recommend a good Indian restaurant in the vicinity and got told in a roundabout way that she didn't know and best thing to do was to look on our own phones and google it.....not sure what, if any, training these staff have?? Having found a restaurant for ourselves, we then came back to the hotel and asked another member of staff at Reception if he could book a taxi for us for the following morning as we had an event to attend......never knew something so simple could be so difficult! The guy put the phone down with the Cab company and then said he hoped the taxi would turn up the next morning, but couldn't be sure as the staff, but if we had any issues, we could always book an Uber ourselves!! Hopefully you are getting the drift of the staffing issues at this place. We also then enquired what time breakfast would be served from as we needed a fairly early start for the event we were attending the next morning. We were told by two different people that it would be from 7am and that if we wanted it delivered to the room, we would need to complete the form and leave outside the door....which we did.....surprise surprise the breakfast never showed up. I called through to room service and the woman said that they didn't start until 7.30am. When I queried it, she said she needed to check....put the phone down and never called back.....guess it must be the Novotel training again! I then phoned Reception and at least she checked and called me back to say that they had my order and were just preparing it now.....maybe I'm expecting too much, but what's the point of putting down a delivery time on the form only for you to have to chase before they start preparing it??? To be honest it arrived and I was better off with nothing.....ordered toast and got just plain slices of bread....ordered tea for 3 and got tea for 2. Suffice to say, if I'm in Leicester again, will definitely look at other options next time.

In regards to your breakfast experience, It's disappointing that your breakfast order wasn't delivered on time and that there were issues with the items you received however we do have breakfast timing on display in our guest lifts and guests are also informed at check in. We understand that consistency and accuracy in fulfilling guest requests are crucial for a positive experience. We thank you for providing your feedback as this allows the hotel to identify areas for improvement and make necessary changes. It's understandable that you'd consider exploring other accommodation options when in Leicester again but we would like the opportunity to host you again. It is unfortunate that your experience at the hotel was marred by issues with the staff's professionalism and service quality. Adequate hotel. Food pretty good - not sure about breakfast as I'm not a breakfast person. Unremarkable stay to be honest. Seem to recall I had issues with the thermostat in the room on the night, but that didn't cause major issues. I'd definitely use again as although not perfect, it's far better than the other places I've stayed in Leicester.
