Dated. Uncomfortable spongy bed. Not business friendly. No proper desk and chair in rooms. Lobby lounge chairs Uncomfortable circa 1980s (had to go down the road to find a quiet comfortable place). Premiere King room only come with Special Access bathroom. Downgraded room to change still charged same amount. New room window squealed in the wind. Was offered a third room for last night, but too late. Shower rose squirts everywhere due to broken connection. Toilet door stays open, no privacy. Breakfast over priced for poor quality (no fried or poached egg service, only offered precooked. No sausages, only undercooked bratwaurst). Double charged for valet parking (about the most expensive valet parking in NZ $59, 9 other 4&5 star hotels in trip, free or $25-$38). I could go on...staff reasonably accommodating and courteous though.

l booked 2 rooms 3 months ago in October 29 2025. and fond one room is not next to the other room which is not really lake view ( Booked with lake view ) . we are very disappointed.

Loved the location- its closed to cafes and the lake. Our room was big, clean spacious and had nice shampoo, conditioner and shower wash. Nice touch having fruit in the gym. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was so tasty - i got the snapper and had the caramel dessert - will definitely stay again.

The staff were friendly, our room was very nice, we are at the restaurant while our meal was okay the restaurant was grossly under staffed with an unacceptable delay to receive our meals

Spent a lovely night away with my daughter, superior queen room was beautifully clean and the little extras (robes and slippers) were a lovely addition to the luxury feel. The meal options are great and very well cooked. Rotorua was having a particularly stinky day and the smell somehow found its way into the room, which was a bit of a shame. Otherwise I couldn’t fault it!
