This is more than a hotel, it's an experience. The staff are charming and helpful from start to finish. The hotel itself is wonderful, maintaining all the flair and opulence of a grand colonial hotel.

We were on the 9th floor in a suite. We were directly below the restaurant and every morning we were woken up by the horrible sound of wooden chairs scrapping on the floor above! You need to put felt protectors on the bottom of the chair legs. VERY disappointed. Also - service at the bar was incredibly slow. There were 10+ people sitting outside and no one inside. There were two servers + a bartender working - no one came outside for over 30 minutes.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay, but the food was a bit disappointing. There is only one main restaurant, and after dining there twice, there were no other dishes I felt like trying. In particular, I was very disappointed that steak was not available to order.
