Fairmont Mara Safari Club 5 stars

Thank you for an unforgettable stay at Fairmont Mara Safari Club. The six nights from 25 to 31 December were truly some of the best days of my life, and I felt compelled to write and express my sincere gratitude. ## Appreciation for the team Right from the time of booking, Brian and Wallace were extremely supportive and set the tone for a wonderful stay, and upon arrival the property immediately felt like **home**. Their warmth and efficiency made every interaction smooth and reassuring. The entire Food & Beverage team went above and beyond throughout our stay. Dennis, William, Chef Kapil, James and Kevin, along with Walter, Leebo, David, James, Moses, Mary, Philip, Valentine and Agnes, took immense care of us and somehow always managed to provide whatever food we were craving at any time, with impeccable service and genuine smiles. ## Exceptional hospitality The camp itself is beautiful, but it is the people who truly make it a class apart. In fact, it is rare for me to say this, but I will miss the people here even more than the place. Every member of the team contributed to an atmosphere of warmth, care and effortless hospitality that made our stay very special. The security team greeted us with such cheerful energy every time we went out for a drive, and that simple ritual really set the tone for each safari. Their presence was reassuring and their enthusiasm contagious. ## Safari and game drives Our game driver, Jeremiah, is nothing short of a legend. His ability to spot animals from miles away and navigate to places no one else seemed to reach gave us some truly extraordinary sightings and memories from the Mara. His skill, patience and passion for the bush made every drive an experience to treasure. Thanks to him, we enjoyed drives that were not only exciting but also deeply informative, and he played a huge part in making this trip the time of our lives. The game drives with Jeremiah will stay with us for a very long time. ## Comfort and housekeeping The housekeeping team, led by Caleb and his colleagues, did an immensely impressive job throughout our stay. Twice a day they prepared our tent for relaxation, ensuring everything was perfectly in order and creating a comforting sense of being at **home** in the middle of the Mara. Their attention to detail, from turndown service to keeping everything spotless and cozy, added so much comfort after long game drives. It was clear they took great pride in their work, and it made a real difference to our overall experience. ## Special thanks and closing Steve was also a great support throughout our stay, always available, kind and helpful whenever we needed anything. His assistance, along with the efforts of every team member mentioned above, gave us countless good memories to take back with us. I am genuinely thankful to the entire Fairmont Mara Safari Club team for their remarkable hospitality and the many small and big gestures that made our trip so memorable. Our stay has been an amazing experience! The place is so beautifully located, green, quiet and in the middle of the reserve. Staff takes care of every detail of your stay, from having some coffee and cake before heading out for the early morning game drives or the delicious different meals during the day. Tents are very comfortable and are in excellent condition, located at the riverbank with many crocodiles and hippos in direct view. Visiting the botanic garden is also a recommendation, it makes you endorse the food even more. We enjoyed having a dedicated vehicle and driver during our stay, which was very convenient and private. Relaxing at the swimming pool during the day was also a treat! Highly recommended place!

This Safari club exceeded my expectations. While the trip from the North airstrip took over an hour ( temporary until the local strip is repaired), it was well worth it and acted as a prelude to Maasai culture and some animal viewing. Reception was exceptional, and service overall was superb. You have a valet assigned, and the same staff member attended me at all 6 meals I had there. Leboo (Patrick) is still in training but showed maturity and customer anticipation that was greatly appreciated, always aiming to please. The 37 tents all face the river and are remarkably comfortable and well appointed. The turn-down service is particularly special; I won’t ruin the surprise. The food was sensational with complements from their own herb garden (Get a tour!). The best part was my driving time with Johnathan, who has only been there a month but has 25 years experience. During 4 drives he was able to locate all the animals I hoped to see and has great depth in his understanding of each species’ habits. Ask him anything! The setting is so serene and just plain magical with so many animals free yet content to stay in that location as they are treated so respectfully. Do not miss the rhinos in the Conservancy. And look all along the fence overlooking the Mara River near the lodge; you will surely see your fill of hippos and crocs. Even the swimming pool is nice, though a bit chilly; still swimmable. I can’t say I was disappointed with anything about the lodge itself. However, sleeping in tents, some guests are clueless of how their voices carry, especially at night. A sign in each room advising quiet voices after dark might help. You will fall in love with this place and its dedicated staff.

Fairmont have a fabulous location, overlooking the Mara river (with hippos and crocs included!), plus a no-minute drive into the game area. The staff are wonderful, welcoming and provide a 5 star service.
