If you are reading this review you will not need any introduction as to what Raffles stands for. Having previously stayed at Raffles in Dubai, this hotel whilst its namesake, is worlds apart. Our stay exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The suite, grounds and restaurants were all immaculate, fit for Royalty. The staff made this stay so special and without exception all members of staff were excellent. The exceptionally warm welcome from Malvinder the Sikh doorman set the tone and continued throughout with all the staff. The major renovations carried out have been carried out in such a manner that the charm, heritage and history of this iconic building have been retained. Highly recommend the historical tour. It was lovely to meet the legendary Leslie who is a delight. Afternoon tea was fabulous. Breakfast each morning was beyond excellent and the service was like no other hotel. The Long Bar is a must. The Tiffin Box presented us with the best curries that we had tasted outside of India and were simply exemplary. The icing on the cake and which made this stay a true “stand out” was the sublime service we received from Emma our butler. Emma made our whole stay magical from the very first day to the last evening - Emma was amazing and assisted with all aspects of our visit (not just limited to the stay in the hotel) and words cannot express Emma’s attention to detail and professionalism. An absolute credit to Raffles and if we ever visit again we know the butler we will request. Thank you all for a great stay and for creating the best of memories.

The warm welcome, the heritage, the service, the food, the champagne, the atmosphere, the tea (yes we actually had tea as well, lovely Ceylon tea) were all amazing. It was an absolute treat being at Raffles, we weren't even staying there but we were made to feel special guests so well done Raffles Hotel! I highly recommend this experience, it is simply a must do in Singapore. The rich heritage makes it so special but the service, food and drinks makes it even more special; and to have my wife rewarded with an extra treat for her birthday was also very special. Thank you everyone at Raffles, our high tea in the lobby, the Singapore Slings in the Long Bar and our time in the Writers Bar made our afternoon an absolute delight. Thank you so much.

Very knowledgeable guide for a tour of Raffles hotel history, including authentic personal memories. Plenty of photos as props, from older days. Tour lasted about 90 minutes. Highlights were presidential suite, grandfather clock, polyphon music player.
