We come there once every 3 mths. I always ask for a crib for one or two nights. This time they did not bring the kids shampoo and we did not have a bath tub.

Staying at The Empress was a convenience since my son was getting married there. The suite was beautiful and well appointed, with an Inner Harbour view. The ability to move between events and various wedding functions in and near the Empress.

I booked Fairmont Gold to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends, and I am extremely disappointed with the lack of preparation and service we experienced. When we opened the sofa bed at 10:00 pm, it had not been made. While there were sheets in the closet, there was no comforter provided. This is a fundamental housekeeping expectation, particularly at the Fairmont Gold level, and it was unacceptable to discover this late at night with no bedding available. In addition, I had emailed the Gold Concierge in advance to advise of my requirement for gluten-free options in the Gold Lounge. Despite providing prior notice, there were very limited suitable options available. This demonstrated a clear lack of follow-through and attention to a confirmed guest request. As a direct result, my friend chose to leave early rather than remain for the remainder of what was meant to be a special birthday weekend. I specifically chose Fairmont Gold because of its reputation for elevated service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of those expectations and significantly impacted an important milestone celebration. I would appreciate a response from management addressing these concerns and outlining what you will do to make this right. The experience did not reflect the Fairmont Gold standard or the premium paid, and I believe appropriate compensation should be provided. I look forward to your prompt reply.
