The concierge did a great job directing us to good restaurants and providing info about hotel. Only complaint - the number of tourists (group and otherwise) from both inside and outside the hotel was overwhelming. They dominated the breakfast buffet, the bar, and the lobby just inside the door. I and thankful for the "guest area" near the concierge, but even it was not large enough to insulate us from the hoards of people wanting to see the historical hotel lobby and bar. While I understand it was a holiday weekend, I still believe there must be a solution to this problem as it greatly diminishes the experience for paying guests - and my two day stay was not inexpensive. I may come back again, but will think twice due to this experience.

Chose the Frontenac for our 32nd Anniversary. What a wonderful trip. The staff were incredible and went above to make out stay truly memorable. A great surprise was the chilled bottle of Champagne in our room when we arrived! The Gold level added to the trip. The foods was delicious and the atmosphere as a place to have a late night coffee or drink with snacks was fantastic.

Lovely hotel let down by disappointing room cleanliness and always over busy in the lobby and public rooms. When you should feel fabulous in such an iconic building, you feel ignored in the frantic entrance and public rooms.

Due to flight delay, we checked in at midnight and were given the worse room in the hotel.Oddly shaped room with pillars that made getting around room challenging. Closet was almost non-existent. Bathroom was so cramped I needed to kneel on toilet to see mirror.Room looked at vents and block wall- felt jail like.Thankfully wonderful Natasha changed our room the next day to very nice room- made all the difference. Breakfast was unacceptable experience. 20 plus minute wait both days when there were lots of empty tables available for the buffet. Buffet food was not good- even coffee was problematic. Sam restaurant was very good- service and food. Concierge service very good. Long lines for reception.

The hotel and old city are unique in North America creating a wonderful experience of food, culture and history. Other than being overpriced, in my opinion, the location, service and food were outstanding. The rooms were very clean though small. The only hesitation to stay again would be the cost / value.

Room, lounge, and location were all great.
My experience with 1608, on the other hand, left a substantial amount to be desired.
I attempted to go to the bar around 18:30 on Monday, was told there would be a 30 minute wait, left my name and room number, informed the hostess I'd be in my room, and proceeded thereto.
After 35 minutes (~19:05) I called 1608 from my room and was informed that there was no record of me on their waitlist, but that they might be able to get me in quickly if I came down.
I came down to the bar immediately and interacted with a hostess who had no idea I existed, who sat me in a chair just inside the door to the bar to wait, and I was left there for about an hour.
At that point it was after 20:00 and I had a 20:45 dinner reservation at Légende so I needed to hurriedly order a drink, pay, and consume it.
I later quipped to a friend of mine that I'd've been treated to a better experience at the bar of a $100/night Best Western.
I don't expect to be exempt from waiting as a hotel guest, particularly because there's such a large number of guests, but I do expect a hotel charging $1 500/night to be able to manage a bar waitlist, and failing that to do something to recover the experience. Neither of those happened here.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and full of historic charm, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Unfortunately, while the property itself is beautiful, we found it lacking in convenience and practical amenities.
Dining options were limited to two rather expensive restaurants that required reservations, while the breakfast restaurant operated on a first-come, first-served basis with very long wait times. As a result, we found ourselves having to leave the hotel for most of our meals.
The shops inside the hotel were also disappointing, offering things like fur hats and expensive stuffed animals rather than anything particularly useful or practical.
Our room was spacious and comfortable overall, but both beds were full-size rather than queens, making them quite small for two people to share.
Overall, it's a stunning historic property with wonderful staff, but for a hotel of this caliber and price point, we expected more convenience, better dining accessibility, and more comfortable sleeping arrangements.

We love staying with you, and always opt for D'Or and a top tier room. Your hotel never disappoints, from all the amenities, including the historic well thought out drinks at 1608, to all the dining options as well. We did have one odd experience. Each day we started in the D'OR Lounge with mimosas. One the 3rd day, we were charged $101.00 for the experience. When we got our folio, upon checking out, the front desk told us to go to the 14th floor to inquire. This was odd, and an imposition. The clerk at the desk for D'OR pulled the ticket and said our charge was for 2 glasses of champagne. I explained this was a mistake. He pulled the ticket. It was written as champagne. We had the same waitress each morning, so this charge seemed out of sync with our folio. The other times we were serves prosecco. While I can see now that the charge wasn't a mistake, it wasn't clear that's what we were receiving when we in fact wanted the standard house bubbly. The waitress was lovely and I don't think she meant and ill intent. It just felt like it should have been confirmed that we wanted $84 bubbly over the $36 bubbly. Otherwise, we have a lovely time every time we visit, and will continue to join you a few times a year.
