The stay was satisfactory. The hotel was clean. The location of the master controls for the lights is in a terrible place. I had to call the front desk to ask how to turn off the lights. I could not see it because it was covered with my travel mate's pillow. I had to wake her up to turn off the lights. The BBQ dinner buffet was not up to expectations. It was a grilled meat buffet not a BBQ. The sauna was clean and nice.

We stayed for 5 weekdays, avoiding the weekend. It was a quiet stay all but one night. Staff were quick to respond to our complaint about 3 men yelling in the hallway shortly after 11.p.m. I asked them to be quiet, but they ignored me and stood outside their room and the noise continued. We suggest signs be placed in the hallways reminding people to keep the noise to a minimum. We were upgraded to a privilege room with a full ocean view due to our platinum status. The view was fabulous. The hotel has a tent on the beach with 8 very comfortable bean bag chairs. You must reserve them in 2-hour blocks. We were not told about this facility upon check and only stumbled across an electronic screen in the shopping arcade that showed the tents with the Mercure banner. We enjoyed our time in the tent and ocean even though it was relatively cold. Unfortunately, the hotel only offers buffet for dinner and there are few western style restaurants near the hotel. We ended up eating at Og Burger and Lotteria out of desperation.
