At first sight, all looks good. At second, it becomes clear that the hotel is not very well managed. So there was an overall disappointment. There is a massive lack of attention to details everywhere: sanitizers in the lift were partly empty (and remained empty…), in the toilet the water does not go down the sink, for late check out the key was blocked twice before the checkout time though it was replaced to fit yo late check-out, clock in the room one hour late, scales had empty batteries, … and finally a lack of choice of fresh fruit fir breakfast.

Well located, the restaurant is clean and spacious, lobby looks nice for a small hotel, but the rooms are not being cleaned properly. The carpets, the walls curtains are very dirty, the furnitures and lamps are dusty although the hotel is quite new. Needs a lot of improvement in training housekeeping staff when it comes to cleaning the room.

I had a relaxing and restful stay for two nights before embarking on a cruise. It was great to find a fresh new hotel, at reasonable pricing, just one metro stop from the airport. It was charming that they turned their coffee shop into a gingerbread house for Christmas. The breakfast area was beautiful. Check-in was efficient. The room was innovative and smartly designed….. it felt open and spacious, and yet there were purposeful spaces for each task you need to accomplish as you go about your day. True to the Grand Mercure brand, everything had a local flavour, without being a caricature or stereotype of Arab culture. I also appreciated the ability to easily add extras, like breakfast or late check-out, during the booking process on the Accor website…. This level of customization really impressed me.

Check in: I greeted, pronounced my name and offered my passport. The guy didn't answer. When he checked the display, he noticed I was a Diamond member and totally changed attitude, becoming friendly and courteous. He gave me instructions, the welcome drink voucher and the key card. The room in 6th floor was nice, a so called junior suite everything was fine, but in these years of technology, more plugs are needed. The biggest problem of the room is the lightening, which offer lights that can be seen from Mars, or nothing at all. If you want to read in bed, you can only do it with the ceiling lamps, very nice, but too bright!!! No bed lamps at all. During my 8 nights, i had to request 4 times the coffee capsules and room was always nade up after 5 in the afternoon. The welcome drink consisted in either coffee or tee. I do drink anything special, but sparkling water. In all Accor hotels i have visited so far, welcome drink can be almost anything (2 months ago i had a lovely fruit cocktail in Doha). So I was taken aback when the alternatives were given. I requested clarification to Mr Aradhya and he was totally supportive and understanding. Food was average, either at breakfast or dinner, staff was trying to help everybody. All in all they were very nice. I had 2 dinners which i oaid in full and 1 lunch to which my Diamond privileges were applied. Both waitresses noticed my status, but only the second one applied discount. I appreciated the room features, the location of the hotel, the pool. I want to thank Mr Ali, who I was pleased to meet again there, the Restaurant Manager and Mr Aradhya, the customer service supervisor who helped me. I also want to mention the kindness and readiness of Mr Ashed, the Poolman. Always ready and nice. There is something very negative I want to mention. I felt very hurt by this behaviour and attitude. I checked out at 8pm as agreed on Dec 3. There were to clerks, both occupied with other customers. One of the. Left the counter. The lady who was behind it (i read her nametag, the name is Veronique), never attempted or tried to look towards me, i was in front of her. After one minute i was standing without being acknowledged, she made a gesture with her right hand showing me the next counter. It was outrageous. She didn't even lift her eyes the previous customer came back to her, I understood she didn't finish with him, but what about a nice "sorry sir im still busy with the other customer, kindly wait" ?

extremely dissatisfied with our stay. - The sales team were not cooperative - The cleaning service was too bad that we had to clean again after they leave the apartment - We vacated the unit 15 days prior to the last date of our booking and they didn't refund the money of those 15 days. - safety measure is zero. Acid was leaking from the ceiling of the underground parking which damaged our two cars. We have raised a complaint to dubai police who admitted the risk, yet no proper action was taken by the hotel management nor compensation. - bad smell in the rooms and corridors - we don't recommend staying in this hotel

Two consecutive stays (of 3 days each) in a row with same disappointing service quality with the same behaviors (late-check refusal even with payment, no upgrade as Plaonium member, force to pay at check-in even with my visa guarantee in the system and used in the reservation, little attention to my problem with my Luggage,… I had no choice than to leave to the next Hotel available Millenium.

The air conditioning was set to 24 degrees (Far too hot) - I did not get a good nights sleep. We asked for it to be adjusted and was assured it would change - however this was not the case.
