The room did not feel properly fresh or well-maintained when I entered. There was a strange damp/wet smell, and it seemed that the room freshener had not been used properly. The intercom also did not appear to be functioning correctly. Additionally, I would prefer that the housekeeping staff avoid disturbing or entering the room repeatedly unless necessary

The hotel maintenance was very poor. The floor mat was too smelly and it looks like 3rd grade hotel. Foul smell from Aircon inside the rooms. It seems the the towels inside wash rooms has been in use since a decade. That bad the towels are.. on a whole I never wanted to chose Novotel anymore.

We recently stayed at Novotel Vijayawada Varun, and unfortunately, the experience did not feel like what we would expect from a 5-star hotel. The stay was just okay overall, but the room cleanliness was disappointing. There were visible marks on the floor and on the island area, on bed sheets and more concerningly, we noticed what appeared to be blood stains underneath the toilet seat. For a hotel of this category, cleanliness and hygiene should be a basic priority. The room and overall experience simply did not have the polished, well-maintained feel that we associate with a 5-star property. It wasn't a terrible stay, but it was definitely an “okay” experience rather than a 5-star experience. With better attention to housekeeping, cleanliness, and maintenance, the hotel could offer a much better experience to its guests.

bed was good. breakfast great. the rooftop bar food was also good. the pool was good. the bathroom shower was bad, all rusty and the taps also had lot of limscale. if you fix the shower, its definitely a 9 or 10.
