Check in was smooth, Staff at Reception during checkin was amazing best customer service. But during the stay met with other reception staff and didn’t had good experience. Room good size and clean. Thanks to housekeeping team. Fridge in room doesn’t work and was not cooling enough. Good location. Overall average experience nothing stand out.

Ok for a short stay, near the station and walking distance to most things. Parking handy but expensive and limited. Rooms nice and spacious. Didn’t eat so I can’t comment about that. Staff friendly and polite. Room wasn’t ready so we could stored our bags till check in time. Seemed odd as I overheard a couple before us checking in and the other staff member saying they had rooms ready so it would be ok. I’m a silver Accor member so I wasn’t impressed tbh.

The location is good, and it’s good that it has an onsite car park. Unfortunately my room didn’t have any net curtains to stop the guests from other rooms looking in, to keep some privacy the main curtains had to be closed all of the time. Also my bathroom extractor fan didn’t work, and there was only one cup between two people with the tea and coffee facilities. To top it all the cooked breakfast was poor, cheap sausages (I hate that), and scrambled eggs that tasted like they had been tainted with vinegar!!! I mentioned the above to the receptionist when I checked out, she said ‘sorry, never mind’. How about I don’t pay the full bill next time, and when I leave I’ll say ‘sorry, never mind’. It wasn’t a great experience, but I’ve left 2 stars because of the location and the onsite parking.

Lovely hotel / shame about the noise

Lovely hotel, great staff and great location however we happened to be there on a Friday night in July and the noise from the bar next door was unbelievable/thumping away until 2am, then continued but I think with doors shut then the crowds left about 4am ish along the road outside hotel in a shouting noisy fashion - I got very little sleep. This is not the hotels fault but the council for allowing this pub to hold these events in a built up area.
