I very much enjoyed the room upgrade especially as all my plans outside of the hotel were cancelled by Boris/Covid-19 ! Your staff provided excellent service despite the very difficult restrictions caused by Covid-19.

lovely hotel & room. Peaceful & clean. However had to pay £20+ to park in a small car park down a side road & got called twice in the morning to check out when I was under the impression I added a late check out. When I asked about this I got told it wouldn’t go through it down through booking.com. This meant I had to pay £20 again to check out later as I had no choice but to wait for my boyfriend who is currently in the marines.

Due to the coronavirus, I cancelled my trip rather than possible be infected and in turn infect hotel staff and visitors. Despite doing this well in advance, there was no refund offered.

The staff were fantastic, very helpful in difficult circumstances. My wife and I booked two nights as our son would be away on a school trip. School trip cancelled at very short notice so my wife and I could only manage one night away. Booking.com were all but useless in communication and Lettings us know if we could cancel or rearrange the stay for another time without losing all our money. The staff at the hotel were great and did there best to make sure we had a great stay. We found out on departure that the hotel were telling guests who had booked and paid that they could rearrange a stay in the future at no cost but booking.com had not passed this info on. Rest assured from now on I will be booking direct with you guys Thanks again to the staff. Best regards Jeremy C.

Had to cancel my trip due to the government imposed travel restrictions. Asked the hotel for a refund, as this was not a personal reason, but an imposed one. They told me "sorry, can't refund anything". Disappointing....

Excellent location for town centre. Room was a good size but a bit cold. Radiator worked but didn't seem big enough for the room. Reception staff excellent and helpful.

Dowdy tiny room. Disappointing breakfast. Not prepared to pay extra for cooked breakfast. Cutlery stained. Blind in bathroom did not work and we felt exposed.
