Room very small and extremely hot Restaurant food was a awful, we refused to pay for the Classic burger -as it was tasteless and one small slice of tomato as a garnish , the pizza I had was barely cooked

The walls in the room that we stayed in were so thin that when the people in the room next door came back after an evening out they woke us up. Not their fault, they weren't being particularly noisy - they were talking and had a cup of coffee, it wasn't a party. But we could hear every word. Absolutely awful, will not be staying again.

The Staff on reception were welcoming, informative and friendly, no complaints there. However when in the room I attempted to find a pen to complete the breakfast form and opened the desk draw only to find evidence of cannabis and tobacco from a previous guest. Clearly the room was not cleaned as well as it could have been.

This is our second stay. Wife fell down stairs in hotel and staff was swift in getting to her and arranging a ambulance to check her out. Luckily only badly bruised ankle. Our stay was exceptional and love the staff.

COVID overkill

The Hotel is nice but the COVID regime is totally OTT.. There is no breakfast served so it's "grab and go" which is very poor quality. The Hotel is surrounded by Cafes and bars which are open without any issue so it is difficult to understand why the "Usual" Social Distance Etc.. isn't sufficient. Check in was also painful and I was made to feel like I had some major disease regardless of the facts (No symptoms at all).

Friendly welcome from Reception. We were lucky to be upgraded to a Privilege King room and were very happy with the room. Nice size and modern, good sized shower room. Very centrally located and easy parking at the train station which is directly across the road (£22 from 6pm day 1 until midnight day 3).

Reception checkin quick and efficient, room excellent, bar staff friendly, food delicious. We arrived about 4.00pm by which time the car park was full, the Receptionist gave us directions to the nearest secure public car park which was 5-10 mins walk away. The hotel car park is free, the public one cost us £15.00 overnight. Perhaps your website could advise guests of this.

We were delighted to see when we arrived that a disabled parking space had been reserved which had been requested on our booking form. With one exception all your staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable; however during the night we were awaken by youngsters leaving a bar at about 0130 and then again at 0430 when the bin lorries arrived. The location was excellent; being opposite the station we undertook a couple of train journeys to Exmouth and Plymouth

Firstly I must say that the staff we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. We were very dis-appointed that our room was not cleaned during our stay. Clean towels had to be picked up from reception and dirty towels left outside the bedroom door which we didn’t think was very hygienic in the circumstances. Any extra tea bags required also needed to be picked up from reception so bins were emptied either. We picked the hotel as it was central and managed to park when we arrived but we were unable to park at the hotel again on our return. We cancelled breakfast as it was continental also in a bag to be collected from reception. We went out for breakfast. We had dinner in the hotel one night but the food was a bit on the cold side and we told the member of staff who offered a free drink which we declined would have preferred a reduction on the bill. We paid £9 for a glass of wine which we thought was very expensive so needless to say we ate out for the remainder of our stay.

A good location and sensibly priced given the limited provisions available. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. However, car park full so would have benefited from bookable option.

We Arrived to check-in to be told that breakfast would be continental and we would have to pick it up in a bag and eat in our room. Not the best start as we enjoy a nice hotel Full English Breakfast Whilst we are away as a family. We would have booked elsewhere if we had known this. I stay away for work on a regular basis and Have the option of Full English Breakfast at most locations. I then went to the bar after we had unpacked to find all draft beers were off apart from Guinness, I asked the Barman for a pint as that is all that was available apart from bottles, half way through pouring he did not look happy, he apologised and said it did not look right it must have been old. The plus side was the staff on Reception were friendly, our room was clean and location was good.
