Another good stay at this hotel. It's in a good location to get around on public transport and very close to the arndale shopping centre. My room was nice a quite and clean.

Bar staff on evening of Saturday 9 November extremely rude and with a major attitude problem. So bad that I avoided the restaurant for breakfast on Sunday and Monday despite having paid in advance for it. Dreadful. Rest of staff nice and friendly, room okay. Will never return.

Water Disruption Across 12 Rooms, No Compensation

Stayed at Manchester Portland for 8 nights with 14 rooms, and we faced a water disruption affecting all rooms. Despite this serious issue, the hotel only compensated 2 rooms, which is unacceptable, especially given the health and safety risk of having no water. However, the front office staff, especially Cindy, was very nice and helpful throughout. Unfortunately, management’s response was minimal. As a Platinum member, this was my worst experience with Accor—would not recommend.

Reception staff were mostly lovely Management were nowhere to be found during my stay On the last night of my stay I found there was no water in my room I emailed the management regarding my dissatisfaction and all they said was we made every effort to inform guests of the issue The room was much smaller than advertised I could not fit in the shower The sink is behind the bathroom door - why?? The window did not open and looked broken The room was not worth the almost 500 pounds I paid for 4 nights The Saturday night alone was 250 pounds Will not be returning
