We found the hotel a bit 'tired' and in need of a spruce up but it was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the linen lovely. The staff we dealt with were really friendly and helpful.

Old building, looking a bit tired. Room was too warm but it's been unseasonably hot. Noisy portable aircon unit in room. Cracked glass in the character window frames. Only able to open one or the windows with some effort. The downpipe outside was noisy when the rain arrived in the night

The linen was wonderfully clean and bed was comfortable but the building is old and needs some love. The bathroom felt old and I was concerned the toilet was going to fall off the wall plus the shower is very small.

Great value hotel in the centre of Invercargill. The room is basic and a little dated but comfortable. The access to the room from the front - entrance was unique, I needed to get through the two doors after the elevator hall. There're common kitchen area that must be useful if you stay for longer. There're public car park just right front ot the hotel. It's free from 5pm to 8am - during night. You need to pay at the parking metre or the PaymyPark app if you park there during day time. The hotel service was good. Thank you. I will be back to stay again when I have a chance to visit Invercargill next time.

There was the most awful smell in the bathroom - I couldn't put my finger on it... sour, food smell - not sure where it was coming from but was like vomit. The toilet was hanging to the wall by a thread so I had to be so cautious each time I sat on it. The window was open when I got there, and I shut it to close out the street noise but had to open it later as it was SO hot, and no air conditioning in the room (just a fan to push the hot air around). It was nice and cool in the hall - I was tempted to set up a bed out there! The room is quite tired - e.g. window panes are rusting I do appreciate the welcome plate, and the person on reception was very pleasent.
