i requested early checkin , the room was ready at 10.30 when we arrived . all staff were very helpful and friendly . we enjoyed our complimentary drink and the breakfast was great and organised well. the beds were comfy .

The last 3 times we have stayed at the Sofitel our room has not been ready. Our last stay our room was not ready until about 3:30pm. The other times were way pass normal check in time Very disappointed not able to unpack our bags and shower before going out for the night. Would be good if we were able to view the restaurant menu without waiting for restaurant to open . Able to see in room service only

Normally we have a good experience at this hotel but was disappointed this time. We upgraded to a suite but to our surprise we had a film crew outside our door and in a few rooms next to us. We did ask to be moved which the hotel did do and to an upgraded suite but unfortunately this room was directly below where the film crew was filming and it sounded like they were moving furniture around up until 10:30pm. Sofitel Staff were unaware the film crew were in the hotel so this seemed disappointing particularly since our room was in the middle of all of this side of the floor on level 33. I would have expected better from the Sofitel. There was no social distancing in the hallway, some film crew had no masks on, eating in the hallway, doors propped open, really not unacceptable for a Covid safe hotel. So it wasn’t the best experience but we were very impressed with one staff member in the club lounge. His name was Elmo, very friendly and bought a smile during our stay.

Front Office amazing, Food & Beverage disappointing

Our food was cold and uncooked. Vegetables were hard as rock. I had to send my steak back to be recooked as it was not what I had ordered and even then it still was not what I had asked for. The service was OK, understanding that due to COVID hospitality venues are struggling as I work in a hotel myself. My father's chair was sticky on one side and when he wiped the chair himself after informing the staff member, there was black/ brown grime that came off the chair. My mum unfortunately was very ill from what seemed to be food poisoning the day after our experience in this restaurant which was not expected since it is in a five star hotel. The most disappointing thing was that after informing our waiter of the numerous issues throughout the time at the restaurant, he did not inform whoever the manager of the restaurant was that evening. In my experience of working in hotels, if a guest has that many issues, a manager would be informed and they would take over and handle the situation. However I wanted to praise the Front Office team who helped us during our stay, especially Scott Bear (Front Office Manager). Scott knew about our experience in the restaurant and kindly sent a fruit platter and a heart felt message to my mums room as she was suffering from food poisoning from the restaurant food. He also took off one nights stay from our bill. Scott helped us more than the restaurant management team which should not be the case . Sofitel should be made aware at how amazing this Scott is. The hotel would be lost without him and I hope he is praised for the amazing work and great customer service he offers to all guests.

The hotel and staff were amazing. I will strongly recommend staying at the Sofitel Darling Habour Sydney Australia for any occasion. The Club Manager Peggie, Guest Relations Manager Francisco and Butler Elmo made our stay comfortable & enjoyable with our Family & friends also staying at the hotel to the highest level you could imagine. Words can not describe the amazing service experienced.

Didnt feel special on our wedding night.

We love the Sofitel and this is our 2nd time with you guys. It was on the wedding night the night we stayed and I arrived in my wedding dress. I definitely felt like we weren't treated any different to any normal person that would have walked in that night. I've stayed at many hotels in my lifetime and usually even for an anniversary most hotels would organise the room so the guests would be treated slightly special with a nice card or bottle of champagne or rosepetals or even some chocolates. I definitely felt disappointed when I walked in and there was nothing and didn't feel like Sofitel did anything out of the ordinary for us. Our room was smaller than the room we had previously and the view was off to the side. We didn't get anything special given to us in the room. Not until our good friends which we recommended to come to Sofitel told us they were also staying there the same night was when we realized that there's a level 25/35 for breakfast. I would think that a couple that just got married would be invited to that level for breakfast. My point is, there was no gesture of congratulations and so, therefore, our stay was slightly disappointing. When we spoke to Sofitel there was blame to my travel agent but after contacting my travel agent I found that they definitely communicated that it was our wedding night. I hope that you can take this on and learn from our experience and treat the next newlywed differently.

I stayed in the king room with harbour views and was delightful. Nice views, very good facilities although most of them were closed (sauna under construction). The bar at level 4 was closed as well, as I was staying Tuesday, so I couldn't fully enjoy all the facilities of the hotel.

As always these guys are awesome and always welcome us like we are close friends. There rooms are always spotless, the staff are all very welcoming and great with my 4 year old. There is never an issue to get something from our car if we forget something, the room service is fast and great food.
