On November 14, 2023, at 10:30, we checked into Diyarbakır Novotel. I made the reservation via Heartist on November 1, 2023, with the reservation code MTHDJFSK. At the reception, I handed our IDs to Mr. Veysi and an unidentified lady with short yellow hair, as they tried to locate our reservation. Upon showing the reservation number, they found it but immediately informed us, "You cannot stay at this rate; there is a mistake." I explained that I booked through Heartist with a staff discount, mentioned my last-minute travel from Istanbul, but faced criticism. Despite my confirmed reservation, Mr. Veysi insisted they couldn't offer the room at that rate, stating, "Our hotel is private, and these are the rules." Requesting to speak to someone in charge, we were kept waiting in the lobby. After about half an hour, a person in their fifties, whom we assumed was the hotel's general manager, appeared. He expressed dissatisfaction on the phone, saying, "It would be better to stay for free, and they even got breakfast included." The humiliating situation continued, and after waiting a bit longer, Mr. Veysi called us, offering assistance but excluding breakfast. I declined, emphasizing that my reservation should include breakfast at the agreed-upon rate and objected to his offensive remarks. He claimed, "This is the owner's hotel; Accor is not concerned." Even after pointing out the Accor sign behind the reception, he remained dismissive. The short lady with blonde hair, whose presence was unclear, questioned if she would stay at Pullman Hotel in Istanbul for the same rate. Refraining from explaining the Heartist program again, I informed them of my intention to file a complaint with the Accor Group. Mr. Veysi added a new rule to the Heartist program, stating, "Only your family can stay; your girlfriend cannot," which I found absurd. I informed him of the incorrect procedures and my intention to complain to Accor. His response was dismissive, stating, "Complain wherever you want; I don't need to give you a room. Complain even in Dubai if you want." Yes, it seems they think the Accor headquarters is in Dubai :) Eventually, they returned our IDs, and we were abruptly ejected from the hotel where we had a reservation.

A few days ago, we visited the Novotel in the city of Diyarbakir.I have to say that first of all the hotel was in an excellent location just a few minutes away from the city center and next to a large shopping mall. It had a very large parking, which helped us a lot because it was difficult to park outside the hotel. The staff welcomed us very warmly and were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel facilities were excellent, very modern and clean as well as the rooms. There was a very nice and clean indoor pool which was very relaxing after such a long and tiring trip. The room were very beautiful, modern, large and also offered you all the comforts you could wish for. We also tried the hotel's kitchen and everything was simply delicious. The breakfast was rich with many local delicacies, well cooked and generally had many things that anyone would want to eat. Finally, check in and check out were very quick and easy thanks to the quick help of the staff.

This is such a beautiful place for the first time I had a nice breakfast thanks for everything If I come to Diyarbakır, the waiters of the place I would go to first were very nice, they did not disturb us at all. They gave us unlimited tea and coffee as a treat, thank you for everything, the cooks were also very good hand taste. it was very nice

The things that I did not like: The reception staff, when I visited the hotel for check-in there was 3 staff in the reception (Muhammad, Pelin, and one other guy but don't know his name), the took all the details and told me to wait till they finish entering the data, but they took 45 minutes and checked in many other visitors, and when I asked them they said because we are 7 persons so it will take time, actually there were a group of people with 10 people and they just finished in 10 minutes. Also, when I looked at the hotel on Booking.com the total was 183$ but when Pelin (reception staff) finished check-in she said that the total is 230$, I asked her that there is a mistake and I will just pay 183$, she called the manager and took other 10 minutes then agreed to pay only 183$ The things that I liked: Clean, comfortable rooms and toilets with great staff in the parking.
