The hotel itself is in a nice area of Edinburgh. Easy enough to get into central/touristy locations. The room was a nice size and the bed comfortable. However, the hotel was clearly managed very poorly. There was black mould in our room, and it wasn’t very clean. We were given an alternative room, which was also mouldy in places. In terms of the facilities advertised, worth noting that the A/C was only working for 1 night of our 4 night stay. There is also no Apple TV functionality, conflicting with the hotel’s marketing material. You get the overall impression that management are trying to keep costs low. Staff communicate with each other via WhatsApp on their personal phones, which looks extremely unprofessional at reception. TL;DR - cheap but plenty of better options in Edinburgh

Couldn’t find our booking and then put us in a room that did not have legal requirements, moved room but the main issue is staff, only one receptionist was lovely so 4 star hotel with 1 star staff.

We love using this hotel when visiting Edinburgh. We felt reassured with the hotel's Covid measures. The staff, as always, were friendly and professional, and Breakfast was enjoyable with good choices. Hope to visit again soon!

Had guest come over from South Africa and we all booked to stay in Edinburgh for the weekend. It was not cheap and don't think we got value for money. Just the small things like maybe a bottle of water in the room or some decent TV channels. It's a huge price to pay for just a bed. We were also told that it was breakfast box only and when we arrived we noted it was a full breakfast buffet. After paying the extra for breakfast it was pretty sad. Not a great selection and the coffee was diabolical. We went to the restaurant around the corner for breakfast on our final day.

Food on offer was only breakfast of which was cold 2 mornings of the 3 I was there. I asked for a fried egg and the response was 'We don't own a frying pan', what hotel doesn't do a fried egg?! Wifi was so bad that I had to cancel 3 morning meetings and go to a local coffee shop. Considering you pay this high amount for the rooms/hotel you'd think the wifi was good enough to take a short Zoom meeting, however this was very poor across the 3 nights I stayed. There was no water available to drink OR even buy which resulted in me having to walk to the local shop to quench my morning thirst. The business paid an add-on to the room to expense potential food or drink costs, however there was no food available (even snacks) AND when I did go to expense 1 pint of beer they questioned who I was under the booking I had just checked in with 2 minutes prior (the bar is right next to the check-in, its the same place). Overall extremely poor stay with zero benefit of paying a higher amount for a good stay. Better off in a Travelodge.

Everything went well and appreciate moving us to a room with a bath after the first night, my wife is disabled and her condition is made a little better with be able to soak in a bath

When we arrived we had to wait two hours for our room to be prepared. We had booked this nearly a month on advanced. We had two children, a 9 years old and 2 year old after a long journey so it was not ideal at all. The only compensation we received was free ticket vouchers which weren’t used because we were out and about a lot doing touristy things. When we asked to see the manager we were told he was outside with the owner and no idea when he would be back. It was ridiculous. We saw two men outside smoking and laughing which we could only assume were them. Breakfast was average. It’s strange that the scrambled egg is not on the buffet but clearly prepared and kept in the back. Surely we pay enough to not be rationed on eggs? Appreciate not enough tables due to covid but breakfast hours need to be extended therefore. Location of hotel is ok once you get your bearings.

Despite having a booking confirmation, reception could not find a record our reservation, it took around 1 hour to sort out. When we got the room, the second bed wasn't ready, and the bathroom had a foul smell from coming from the bathroom, we were moved to another room, in this the 2nd bed still wasn't ready, no net curtain which due to the overlooking neighbors we had to keep the curtains closed, along with some missing light bulbs, resulting in a dim room. The room was sold and booked for three people, however there was know where near enough space to accommodate this once the second bed as out, difficult to move about, and couldn't use the desk. One the last day there as a long queue breakfast, we were told to come back in 20 minutes time, we did,, queued again, then found majority of bakery items had run out, bread, muffins, croissants etc. Disappointing stay and not a great experience, I would need to reconsider spending my money with Accor with any future bookings.

The hotel was in a good position in Edinburgh that is the only positive. The bar/lobby is not welcoming so we preferred to buy wine and drink it in our room. We were in room 419 and we could here a low humming noise all night long. No mention of being rudely disturbed at 5am by a fire alarm at checkout. Asked for rooms to be close together for Monday teenagers and we were on different corridors which made them uneasy and anxious. I stay with Accor a lot but sadly will not return to this hotel again.

Stayed here overnight with my partner and daughter. Room appeared to be clean upon first glance but realised that it was quite dusty. The sofa bed was folded out and under it was an old mask and cotton bud. Under the bed there were socks from previous customer and a cork from a wine bottle. The room was stocked with towels and pillows for only 2 people and we had 3 so had to request extra which was no bother. Staff were nice and friendly but housekeeping could be doing with better training.
